Welcome! We know everyone is busy, so let's get to it...
We at Invidius are trying to gather more team members to finish our demo for PAX Prime. Our current team listed is not entirely reflective, as we have more members and we have/had other members based on contracted work. You may contact us for information about possible compensation. As of now, compensation will most likely be royalty, unless we can gather sufficient funds through crowd-funding or a publisher. I know, you've all heard this before... So, you want to know what makes our project different? Read on...
What Makes Us Different:
- Our artwork is overseen by an Environment Artist that worked on Darksiders 2!
- We have multiple industry connections and could gain potential investors when the time comes
- We are showcasing a demo for the game at PAX Prime
- Strong team management and a dedicated team
- Very well organized and on track with our Project Timeline for PAX Prime
- Professional Voice Acting
- We already have a publisher. Our game will be featured on their site in a few days, with all of the game info, artwork, forums, etc.
The Creation of Invidius and Sanity:
Everything started from scratch. We started last year, putting a team together, honing everyone's skills, writing the script/storyboard, and setting everything up for production. We have our design documents, storyboard, and project timeline. The timeline was based around having the demo done in time for PAX Prime. Sanity is the name of the game, and we will talk more about it in a moment. Invidius is our team and we did have a website, it's just currently being modified. This is not our first rodeo, most of us have worked on other projects before.
Who is Invidius:
Invidius is determined to make the best games possible with what we have in our arsenal of technology. Our first break-out game, Sanity, will be aimed towards hardcore gamers that love a great story, immersive gameplay, and most importantly... love to be scared! We wanted to do something new, innovative, and truly scary (unlike most modern games and movies). So, we set out to bring you Sanity.
What Can We Offer You:
We can offer you a place on an experienced, professional team and guaranteed future compensation. Unless crowd-funding or an investor comes into play before-hand, compensation will be based on royalties. However, you could potentially be paid through royalties, as well as other forms of compensation before the game is released. We also offer you the chance to come with us to PAX Prime, should you choose to go. Artists, modelers, and animators should take note; we can have our Darksiders 2 artist offer suggestions, critique, and professional advice on your work if you'd like. He's not just an environment artist, of course, he has multiple professional industry-level skills in that department. In return, we just request that you are dedicated, show solid work-ethic, meet deadlines, and communicate well with the team.
Team:
**Many of us play more than one role, and as such are classified under multiple prominent roles, if necessary. Again, this is not reflective of the entire team and their respective roles**
EDIT: As you can see below, we don't have near as many people on the project as we started with. We had a substantial number of people over the course of development so far, but had to part ways for various reasons. Lack of dedication, communication, and other real-life things interfering, all played a part in team members being dropped from the project. These were mostly mutual decisions and a couple members may come back in the future, should the find the time. Because of this, we will only be taking responsible, dedicated individuals who can communicate regularly. We know that some things in life will obviously take priority, but you can always make time. Everyone will be in something of a "training" period for up to 2 weeks. Should you prove your dedication and commitment to the project, you will be put on the team officially. It should also be noted that this list will not reflect people currently in their "training" period.

What is Sanity:
Bad things happen to bad people and you’re the worst. The ghosts of your past come back to haunt you. They seek revenge for what you've done to them and they will have it.

USP:
It would be easy to say what makes sanity unique is the game as a whole but that’s not completely true. What sets Sanity apart is the story. The story is there to drive players forward, gameplay as a secondary selling point allows for game flow and logical progression. We aim to scare the player using his own sanity as a mechanism.
What We Have Already Accomplished:
Game Design Documentation
Script/Storyboard is finished for the demo, but may be adjusted for the final game
Full cast for all major characters and minor characters
Detailed Project Timeline
Dropbox folder for file sharing
Organized comunication and tasks
Plenty of concept art for the game
Many assets have already been built
Character models are underway
Website (being modified), social media accounts for the game have been made
We have a Publisher (our page on the publisher website will be up soon)
A good portion of the core programming done
Huge library of high-quality sounds and music
Industry professionals on-board to help see this game succeed
A following of fans supporting us every step of the way![]()
What We Need Right Now:
No beginners, please. We are open to adding any number of team members to speed up the process (ignore the "X/X" numbers next to our team, as we're willing to add more than that). What we really need right now is at least one animator, character rigger, and numerous modelers/texture artists. We prefer that our modelers can texture their models, but if you're good enough, we may be willing to have you on board anyways! We could also use at least one more programmer and level designer as well.
So, what we really need right now:
Animator
Character Rigger
Modelers
Texture Artists
Programmer
Level Designer
If you are interested, even for a position not listed, send an email to travis.crane@shogn.net or message us at http://www.facebook.com/SanityTheGame
*Be sure to include your name, skills being offered, and samples of your work in the email please.*
Here are some of the creature concepts (we don't want to give away character concepts just yet). **The concepts shown below may not be in the final game, or the demo. These are simply pieces of concept art for Sanity, to show what our artists are capable of. Thanks for taking the time to check us out!
Note* These images were re-sized and are not the same quality of the originals*
(We will be showing screenshots for the game soon....)
