    Question Texture blinking problem!

    Hi everyone;

    We are designing some level for our game. There's some small stones as staticmeshes that cause some problem.
    When the player approaches them, their texture/material gets somehow black suddenly, and after going much closer, it blinks to its original diffuse colors.

    What do you think about what is happening there?
    We know that the problem is not because of LOD transition or lightmap overlapping.
    Do you think there's some problem in texture/material or something else??

    Thanks in advance. :-))

    Potentially silly question... do you have two of the same item on top of each other? If you accidentally duplicated the stone on top of the original they could be basically fighting for which item should be visible.

    No, all of objects have been added through Content browser! :-|

    Any other idea?

    Of course they have been added through the content, what he is asking is if you have two objects in the same space. This would cause what is known as Z-fighting.

    Try to delete the blinking object and see if there's still one there.

    No, that is not the case. The problem is solved.
    The pivot point of those objects causing problems, was under the terrain! :-)

    Thanks Graylord!

    Pivot Points can be anywhere. They wouldn't cause an issue like this.

    The issue was most likely just avoided by chance by whatever you did.
