    Default DM-Subway Progress thread

    Just let me first say I am back! Testicular cancer and chemotherapy had me beat down but I'm doing alot better now =)

    I have decided to get back into level design, hopefully there's still people playing UT3. I am re-creating subway from gears of war 1, I will keep this thread updated as I progress.

    So far today, just a wet floor and a skybox, and the main BSP from the map.

    Tip: Download Umodel, then export SM, Tex ect. and make your level - there is no point to doing everything by hand from ZERO...

    I'm new to what you are talking about. Do you use Umodel to open the GOW assets that were put out in the forums a while ago and then export out of Umodel and import into the UT3 editor?

    Yeah, I tried using the GoW models posted on the forums a while ago, problem is the root bone doesn't match the ones like in the original GoW maps. And no matter what I do, Umodel exports GoW meshes from the original game, as pskx files, and obviously I can't import those into UnrealEd.

    Yes you can, just change ext. to psk and load to your 3D editor and export as ASE/FBX - read Notes about StaticMesh support.
