Why can this game not divide 8 for team balancing?

Because for example, say there were 8 players in the lobby altogether and a new match started but the game puts the teams as 5v3, and this happens to me on a regular basis. Has anyone experienced this and why does it happen?

I've never found it to be a problem. If the opposing team aren't in a party it always seems to split the teams equally.
