    1. When you spot/mark an enemy instead of a dot above their head you can see them on tac-com for a moment, similar to Leader vision.

    2. In KOTH, more players in the hill lets you earn points faster, similar to overtime.

    Bored, so I'm just seeing what people think.

    Number 1 sounds interesting but I think the arrow above their head is enough. Being able to see them behind a wall would make it even easier to take people out. The mark plus the in game character making the call is fine. Good idea though.

    For number 2 would that mean it would go back to having at least 1 person inside the hill to score? If so I say no to it.

    I liked the first idea, don't know about the second since I don't play koth as much.

    As for the first idea, maybe it doesn't last as long as current spotting does or maybe used for special events. Just to balance it out.

    I play horde, so this would be interesting, as I play Horde almost exclusively. The Sentry does something similar to what you said in Horde mode.

    2.
    Hmm, the team would be very vulnerable to boomshot or grenade attacks. I don't play KOTH much, but it seems that organized teams split into a group near the ring, and a group sniping or shooting opponents charging towards the ring. This could change the tactics, and may potentially make the game a little boring.

    1: I like the idea, but it is already so easy to die in this game because of outrageously powerful weapons, I don't want it to be even easier.
    2: It's an interesting idea but I think it would really make it very important to have a party playing with you which wouldn't make for the best experience.

    No the ring would count down normally, but having 1 person in the hill it counts like 1.5 times as fast, and 5 people counts 5 times as fast. It would allow your team to collect points faster at the risk of not having good positions/being vulnerable to explosives.

    From my experience with KOTH it is very rare that your whole team will be at the hill and the other team won't be. Most of the time you would be able to boost with 2-3 people for about 5 seconds before you MUST take position to protect the hill.

    I like the spotting thing. I just wish there was a way to make it so everyone would use the marking system, it is such a great system especially when nobody has their mic in.

    Of course. IMO the hill should only appear along the center of the map and the spawns should only be the 2 default spawns, with switching only occuring like it does in TDM and such when you have a lot of players on either side. It would be perfect, no unfair spawning close/far BS, and the fights will always take place over the hill, not coming out of spawn next to the hill. You would actually be able to do setups like you would for WZ/EX.

    1) No, would cluster up the screen too much in my opinion. As a option - sure.
    I'd rather have a double spot option. Spot him twice quickly and it'd make the icon either flash or go orange (if red) or teal (if blue) to represent this is a important enemy to kill (like has Boomshot, watch out/kill him).

    2) I like the concept, but after your post about having 5 in there = 5x as quick - no.
    I agree with a slight increase. Something like 5% per player. So if a full team is in, it will give you points 25% faster. This will be significant enough considering the timer counts down quicker due to length of matches. So if it's counting down quicker AND you got 5 people in there. That 25% bonus is VERY significant.

    Not sure how it would clutter the screen more, especially if all it does it highlight them on your tac-com. Leaders can see everyone and it's not at all cluttered. If anything, there would be less clutter since there would be no giant red/blue dot above the enemy's head.

    I was just throwing numbers out there, but again the chances of you being able to have 5 teammates in the hill at one time are very VERY small. More than likely, it will be just 1 or 2 people at any given time. It would let you quickly get a boost in points, again at the risk of being more prone to attacks. 25% increase isn't worth the risk, that would just give you an extra second for every 4 seconds. No one would bother to risk it unless the entire other team is dead.

    if two are in the ring it goes like 1.1 times faster. if all five are in the ring it goes 1.5 times faster.
    But hey, at least the main menu is badass

    You can still play Gears 1 y'know.

    I will spot an enemy if I see him sneaking up on a team mate. No need for tac com in that situation. I like your KOTH idea. I preferred KOTH to Annex in Gears2. It is more challenging to actually stand in the hill than to set up in cover around the perimeter but people are so worried about their precious K/Ds that I often found myself alone when going for the objective. Your idea would allow for the best of both because what we have now is just Annex
