Hi folks! Iīve been reading the documentation and the forums...and I canīt really understand the main concepts about how to use lights (and shadows) in UDK.
I started looking for info because I wasnīt getting any shadows from static messes.
After some research and testing... Iīve realised that I will only get real shadows if I use Dominant lights. Is that right?
Now.. If I got it wrong... am I supossed to use a single main light with "normal shadows" mode, with a bunch of lights casting shadows on modulate mode to support it? ( I didnīt really understand
One last question about dominat lights... If a single mesh can only be lighted by a single dominant light, whatīs the best aproach to light an environment with them? All the test Iīve done havenīt worked very well..
