How did you get the Talon?

I've seen it posted that Xyloto drops the Talon but after killing him several times in OG all I get are money drops. Has anyone found the Talon in a chest or rare prize wheel? It's the last weapon I need in OG. Thanks!

Going to ask for help here as well. Is there a specific armor set, weapon, or something else I am missing? Is there a specific order you have to kill people in the sky chamber? Do you kill all three or allow the one to live? I have done multiple rebirths to kill Xyloto, having done so about 14 times and have not received Talon. It is really frustrating. Any hints? I have tried the gem armor set as well as different random armor sets but nothing but gold and the occasional gem.

First, if you let the Iron hunter (the one you have to fight with the infinity blade) go free, on next rebirth he will gift you with a rare and very powerful mace, the Torren's Legacy. If you slay him, you only get his armor (sucky). As for Xyloto, you can get Talon from him, but it is not a 100% drop rate. I got it after several tries. And trust me, at rebirth 450 he's a pain in the butt when youre used to Dual. Try to get it fast before he gets too tough!

IMPORTANT NOTE : if you let live the iron hunter, NEVER do it again. Kill him next times. Once you are awarded the Torren's Legacy once, if you let him go again there will be a major freeze on next rebirth and you will be permanently stuck on this scene. Meaning that you will have to restart the game to rebirth 0. You dont lose your equipment though...

So it is random and I just have to keep cycling through "infinitely" killing him until he drops them. Pretty irritating after killing him untold times.

If you fail in a fight, there are 2 methods to restarting the fight without fighting your way through the castle again.

1. As soon as you die. Exit game and remove it from the app switcher (double tap home, tap and hold the IB icon until it wiggles, then click the minus sign).

You can then restart the game, and you will be in front of your last Titan.

2. As soon as you die, tap the sword button in the top centre of the screen, then enter settings (the cog icon). Then go into character slots and select another character. Then repeat the process, this time selecting the character you just swapped from.

Option 2 works a little faster on an iPad 2, but try both and see which you prefer.

I can only say what happens in NG as that's my game. I have gotten the Talon in every NG I have fought Xyloto. For me it is 100%.

And Talion, you can fight Xyloto using Dual! Just click the blue panel next to the cell and then really quick, like instantly, click the menu button on top to access the character and change your weapon from Widow Shriek to any weapon you like.

I have killed Xyloto about another 10 times, each time with at least 4 diamond 300+ drop weapon gems and 2 maxed out hexagonal drop rare item gems installed and all I get is gold. I am playing in OG. Is there a particular level that Xyloto has to be to drop talon?

I don't think so, I went up there once for fun, couldn't kill him, came back later, killed him and he dropped it. Mastered it with gold, sold it, and got out of there.

That is what I am wondering so I am now going forward, as opposed to going back to RB 1 (which is what i had been doing). We shall see what happens.

if you defeated Xyloto before the 1.3.2 update came out, you have to restart Rebirth 1 to make him drop the Talon sword. This is because you've already defeated him the first time and he has, from the game's perspective, already dropped his initial kill reward.

I did defeat him prior to 1.3.2 but I have gone back to rebirth one at least a dozen times with no Talon. It is really irritating. As I had asked earlier, is a specific armor set needed or are specific items not allowed or what? Does he always drop it the "first" time you kill him in OG?

he dropped it the first time I beat him after I reset to RB1 after beating BG. Idk what else to tell you :/
