Just as the title says, I'm looking for 4 people who either have no life, no sanity, and/or extreme dedication to do a full series run-through. Full, as in from freeing Marcus in Gears 1 to [SPOILER ALERT!]killing the queen in Gears 3.
This will be an endurance run, so once we start, we won't be stopping (save for during cutscenes and for emergency bathroom breaks). I estimate (very roughly) that this will take us around 36 hours to complete, so that's where your extreme dedication/insanity/lack of anything else better to do comes into play here. We will be doing the DLC campaign content, but we will not be doing horde. As for difficulty, we will be voting on that one, but keep in mind you won't be playing your best after 36 straight hours.
I plan on also streaming live on twitch.tv or something like that. If you want to stream your end, you can set up your own channel (this will be my first time streaming, but I'm setting that up as you read this). but my PVR will not catch your screen, so you need your own equipment. I won't be making a joint channel or anything like that, so you can use your own to promote it or even post it to your YouTube channel if you record it (we'll be getting tons of footage). I'll also be live-tweeting this event (between deaths and cutscenes and stuff like that) so those without the bandwidth can at least keep up.
We will be playing in canon chronological order, so it will be:
1. Raam's Shadow (Gears 3 DLC)
2. Gears 1
3. Gears 2 (up to Maria's death)
4. Road to Ruin (Gears 2 Deleted Scene)
5. Gears 2 (the rest of it)
6. Gears 3
Alright, now that the basics are done, here's a complete list of things I suggest you to have prior to doing this (required items listed in bold):
-Raam's Shadow (Gears 3 DLC)
-Gears 1, 2, and 3 (full games)
-Road to Ruin (Gears 2 Deleted Scene, which is free, I believe)
-A Mic
-An active Xbox Live Gold account
-Quick foods, drinks, snacks, etc. (suggest healthy snacks and water)
-A Capture card or PVR (if you want to record or stream it)
-Experience is a plus, but I will gladly take someone who hasn't experienced the previous or current campaigns
-Motivation, dedication, a positive and fun attitude, and BRASS BALLS (or ONYX OVARIES)!
So, as for the reason why I'm doing this, it's primarily for fun. Therefore, there won't be a reward at the end except for the fact that you can say you actually did it. I have no qualms against going for achievements, medals, ribbons, etc. provided they don't throw us off too much from the main task (completion of the games). We will not be replaying chapters (unless the whole team doesn't mind doing it) since, and I can't stress this enough, we will be up for around 36 hours doing this.
I know this question will come up, and yes, I am aware that Gears 1/2 are 2-player games instead of 4 like Gears 3. I still have to work on the logistics of it, but the way I'm thinking of doing it is setting up a private chat between all 4 of us, and then we party up in groups of 2, alternating between acts and games so that everyone gets to play with everyone, and when we get to the choices (the scenes where it stops the game and says, "Press LT to do this and RT to do that"), one team presses RT while the other presses LT. That way, it'll provide the illusion that we're playing together.
Also, and this is important, I WILL NOT BE STARTING THIS TODAY. Or tomorrow. Or even this weekend. The plan is to start on Saturday, September 1st, at 10:00 A.M. EST That way, we finish at around 6:00 PM Sunday, and then you have the rest of the night and Labor Day to recuperate (also, it shouldn't throw off anyone's sleep schedule unless you sleep duiring the day). Because of the 3-day holiday and my work/duty schedule, this will be the only day I'll be able to do this (however, as for the start time, that can be changed).
I am also aware of the health hazards of marathon gaming. Again, we will be taking breaks during cutscenes, so I suggest walking around, stretching, and mild exercises to both keep you awoke and prevent problems related to sitting for long stretches of time. Be sure to get plenty of rest beforehand. As I mentioned before, healthy foods and water are the way to go. Keep hydrated with water. 1-2 energy drinks may be okay, but don't chug energy drinks like they're going out of style, and please, please, PLEASE avoid alcohol during this. It'll only make you more tired and we can't have you passing out in the middle of a boss battle. Don't volunteer for this if you have some kind of medical issue like a heart problem or something like that. Having no sleep could make it worse. Finally, if you feel you just really can't go on anymore or you're about to have a heart attack or a stroke or something, just quit. I only ask you give us a heads-up beforehand. I won't be too mad if you quit, as it's only a game and we're playing for fun, but keep in mind your other teammates will still be playing.
Without further ado, the gauntlet has been thrown down. The challenge has been put out there. This **** is happening. Question is, are you man (or woman) enough to accept it?

Special Thanks to all that have blessed me with codes I missed by not being a Gears fan earlier!
It's fixed now.
Of course, 36 hours isn't that long seeing as there are records ranging from 30 hours to 76 hours. I myself have stayed up for 36 hours straight when I was 8, for 2 days straight in boot camp (in a division of 80 people, not 1 person suffered any medical conditions from it), and several times during deployment I've been awoke for 24 hours straight (about once a week, to be exact, and that's a normal work week when you're deployed). Not to mention this little gem I found:
