Blender Fbx or Ase Export to UDK for Static meshes/Uv's ?
Hello, back to Blender! Fairly new with it...For static meshes and their uv's. Is it possible to get the uv's and texture images to UDK with the fbx exporter( maybe I'm doing something wrong)? Or is everyone using the ase exporter. Seems they took out the ase export in the latest version 2.63a, or it's missing from mine. So, I'm trying this script from this page http://www.katsbits.com/tools/ (it's half way down the page)......and also having problems getting the script to show up!.....(maybe it has to be renamed?) I will have to get back at it later, to solve this....

Blenders .fbx exporter is just working fine and .fbx should be usually your first choice for UDK, .ase files will take longer to export and are also bigger mb wise.
Textures won't be exported with either of both file formats but UVs are part of the model itself.
MCampagnini has a nice .ase exporter that is constantly being updated: http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/...-57-ASE-export
Yes the fbx exporter is working fine, I just tested some models from BlendSwap with the fbx export and just learned how to get the uv's on the right channel through Blender. I must be just missing an assign or something on my model. I should be able to get it to work fine now. Thx, I wasn't sure about texture export either, but it's not an issue, and thx for the link!!
