Banned from gears of war 3

My son had his game hacked and is now banned. How do I sort this??

Unless he purposely got it hacked. If that's the case there is nothing Epic will do since bans are permanent. More often than not it is a permanent ban.

EVERY one that cheats says their account was hacked... this kind of thing doesn't happen without someone agreeing to it, nobody just hacks an account and adds stuff that wasn't there. These kinds of bans are permanent, meaning he can no longer play gears online. I would call it a learning lesson for your son. If he can prove somehow that his account was in fact hacked, then you may have a case, but I wouldn't get your hopes up, as cheating is strongly frowned upon by epic, and they will not release the ban. If anyone else plays gears on his xbox, they too will get banned, for playing on a hacked console. What is his gamer tag, the detectives can do some homework lol

If they didn't delete the posts, look through the issue section, you will see that literally EVERYONE says they didn't do it, they're account was just hacked. In the video game world, this would be the equivalent of you going to your bank, and found out that someone just randomly gave you a ton of money. It just doesn't happen.

You account cannot be hacked UNLESS you give out the Windows LIVE ID and password, and to be honest if you give that out, you are a dumbass!

they are called hackers for a reason. a hacker CAN figure out your ID and password if they wanted to.


as i said, unless you can provide proof that they hacked into your account to steal info/money/points, epic isnt going to unban you

yea, but hackers don't typically hack an account just to give someone seriously, or level 400 lol and then just leave. I can understand if msp were gone, or stuff was charged to a card on file...

depends what the situation is. if they mod some lobbies to troll everyone, they might want to steal someones account and use it so their own account isnt banned. while it is more likely he's only pretending to be innocent, we cant rule out the off chance of it happening

That is extremely unlikely. In fact, most times the profiles never left the person's possession. (Yes, we can see that)
