Hi folks just wandering if anyone had any advice on scripting swipes? I'd like to make it so that as the player swipes it moves a camera. The simple swipes appears to only support 4 compass points.
All the best and many thanks for any advice.
I have 2 suggestions:
1.Read the UDN documentation on mobile input: http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/MobileInputSystem.html
2.Hacky Kismet Solution: Assuming you already know about input zones, make a large joystick input zone that encompasses the whole screen, set the opacity to nothing (Or make it invisible), and there's an option somewhere in the input zone that allows you to start the input from anywhere (Can't really remember off the top of my head) but anyhow, take a look at the example maps in the mobile folder of the UDK maps;there's one map where you're inside of the courtyard of a castle, and open up kismet and observe what's going on there. Good luck!
Cheers Harry forgot about this thread missed your reply.
I figured this out in the end, captured the vectors of start and update touch events and then calculated the difference. I'll try post something up about it at some point.
