while in spectator mode, i can't hear any taunts/voices like in your videos.
are you using some sort of special taunt mutator or server command?

also when i hide the HUD in the settings, i get an annoying little cursor in the center when focused on a character.

while making videos, have you figured a way around these problems?

yes, i know what your saying about the crosshair in the character when trying to spectate a character,
for that i almost posted a thread on it, i found that sometimes the plus and minus keys work along with hide hud,
but other times the only thing i think is to use the hide crosshair option in the weapons menu,
the problem is i have alot of weapons packs, and trying to find the right weapon is tricky,
i use the skrith pistol sometimes,

i use fraps to record my videos,
and lately i have been using the windows movie maker to make videos,
and i can layer what taunts on top,
that way i can hear the right taunt at the right moment,
although i don't do that most of the time,
i did it in the duke nukem video

having some mixed results using your solutions with the combination of spectator mode & hide hud, decided to go with the more direct approach: loaded up Crosshairs.utx and replaced Crosshair_Cross1 with a clear texture. that's the crosshair that seems to appear in my ballistic weapons vids. i guess now i should re-frap those videos = )

let me get this straight, you're extracting the wav files from voicepacks and then layering them into your windows movie maker project?! that sounds like a lot of work! but might be the only viable solution... good in a way, could really customize your video with exact expressions.

i thought about doing that as well with the clear crosshair,
    but haven't yet,

usually if i extract wav, its only a couple, sometimes i may just search the internet and find some sounds i'm looking for,
the duke nukem video was the one that really made me want to have a cool taunt after each kill,
but i realize that sounds can really make a video extra cool
