some of my longshot tips

never raise your head when the enemy knows your exact spot, move a few inches over from the last place he saw you. that little milisecond it takes him to adjust could mean the difference between living and dying.

pop your head up a couple times to bait him, flash your scope, but when you both aim at eachother try and no scope while he is zooming in.
try to line up where his head is while still in cover, pop out and wait for the reticule to shrink and turn red then fire, often the other sniper will scope in and your no scope will catch him off guard.

if the enemy sniper looks like he can handle himself in a duel relocate, no shame in it.
have him forget about you and try to catch him at an angle he doesn't expect.

in fact try to carry the longshot to uncommon locations around the map, everyone expects to be sniped from certain areas, just like any strategy in this game try and keep your enemy guessing and surprised.

when you succesfully headshot another sniper, chances are he is going to immediatly try and retrieve the gun when he respawns, always wait around a bit to see if he will try and grab it again. keep your head down until he has commited to the pick-up animation. free kill.

On a map were there is barely any visibility eg Trenches/artillery/Raven down. Retro charge as a Theron or Raam they barely make any noise when charging getting you a sneak attack on unaware enemies trust me it works.

When I use that combo I use desert camo/digital or Ivory camos.

Pull out the retro when you are going negative to break even and or go positive.

When being chased try to lead them somewhere you can wallbounce then randomly roll backwards; I'd say 50% of the time I come out with my gnasher aimed straight into their chest and if you miss start bouncing. (although sometimes this leads to your attacker getting a crazy looking superman)

I've had some try a backward roll on me in one of the artillery hallways. Their head just went straight in front of my shotgun when I fired, indeed a superman, caught me off guard.


My tip: funnel people with frags. If there are 2 ways they can go throw frag one way a shoot them down the other e.g. Thrashball. Anticipate where they're likely to jump to get away from the frag and just make sure to greet them with a shotgun when they get there.

Do not play Raam's shadow in arcade when your trying to get the 10x multiplier medal. In my experience a Tai bot will always swan dive into an E-hole.

My tip: Always try to assault tiny hitbox characters from mid ranged - long ranged. Odds are your point blank shotgun kill won't kill then giving them an easy kill. Rifles work wonders!

EDIT: Are we having a grenade debate? I think you should only be able to plant one at a time.

well it could mean me clutching a 1v8 (tdm but they had three respawns the nade took out two)
plus they are not that hard to notise
