Default DDL (as the sun) not rotating as expected

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum, and I have an issue you may be able to help me with.

I'm currently going through a skydome/day+night tutorial from UDK Game Development Cookbook, I've noticed that there are several day+night methods, and I'm trying each one out to see what's best for my purpose.

I'm rotating a Dominant Directional Light with kismet, it follows the path of the sun (which is a great big sphere mesh, attached to an even bigger cylindrical strip mesh, they rotate -360 around the scene in the X axis)

When i try to rotate the DDL, it won't rotate along the same path as the sun, it rotates laterally or across the path of the sun, but not in the same direction.

Here's a stellar bit of concept work I did to display the problem :P

I think I'm just having a massive logic fail right now, if anybody could help me out, it would be MOST appreciated!

    Cheers!

I should also add that I've tried changing the movement track properties to and from 'Relative To Initial' and 'World Frame'. The DDL "jumps" to a position in the level with every combination, except on the X axis, set to Relative To Initial. With these settings the DDL's direction rotates like a drill head, so the light's direction doesn't change at all. If that makes sense?

You could just attach the light to the sun mesh

Ah yes, that was going to be my next port of call, I didn't know if the DDL would take the sun's rotation into consideration and just continue pointing in the same direction. However, it appears to have worked!

Thanks very much darth, you're a true scholar!
