Curb stomp achievement in gears of war one not unlocking

I have over 100 kills 103 too be exact 50 in ranked warzone 52 in ranked execution and 1 in ranked assasination and it won't unlock can anyone help?

keep getting more kills, the leaderboard are not accurate. if host quits or if you quit, it still counts towards the leaderboards, but not towards the achievement

I wish this would have been fixed along time ago apparently people have had this problem before when the game first came out

I could be wrong here but I read somewhere that the kill achievements, 100 kills with torque bow, curb stomp etc., have to be in the same mode.

I only played execution back on 1 so I can say that these did unlock for me. Again I don't know that this is 100 percent true, but I do remember reading about kills being on different gametypes and not unlocking.

Consider this theory debunked. As a person who started playing Gears of War 1 back in 2010 well after the whole MP achievements became a mess, I can tell you that is not true. I have played across all 3 game modes and they count.

To the OP: You just need to keep playing and getting those specific types of kills. Like has been answered already, if you do not complete a match (you or host quit) then those kills are not going to count towards the achievement. Also, if your internet is really laggy, sometimes it doesn't work either. I was playing for the longest time on broadband, and had 110 legit HoD kills (I would actually count how many kills I would get for complete matches), but it wouldn't unlock. Then my dad switched to AT&T U-Verse and the first match I got an HoD kill it unlocked. Kills DO NOT COUNT on Annex. And last of all, though this one I don't know for sure, if somebody you killed quits the match, the kills don't count either. But I have yet to confirm this one. In other words, just keep playing 'til you get it.

I'm still trying to go after Seriously 1.0. It may take me years for all I know, but I will still go for it. Wish me luck!

Played a game today got 3 curb stomps and it unlocked it was weird it popped at the end of the game which makes no sense but yeah I'm happy

You should stick to just one gamemode. Also the achievements on Gears 1 are very buggy, might as well take over 200 to get your achievement. The worst one for me was the Chainsaw, took 270 kills if I remember correctly. Most of my weapon kill achievements unlocked around 120-150. Funny thing though, curbstomps unlocked at exactly 100.

I gave up on the kill achievements in GOW1 long ago. I think I ended up with neraly double the kills needed for Lancer , Curb Stomps, and Frag Tags then teh achievement required before they popped. Then I learned about the Host quit issue, and how kills would not count. From that point on I no longer cared. To this day, TB, LS, BS are all still locked, and I don't care.

I don't know who brought it up but a good idea would be too make a Gears of War anniversary game like they did with Halo it might bring back some of the diehard gamers and possibly fix issues like achievements not unlocking etc
