GOW: Judgment Info Thread. Judgment is UPON US ALL!!!

It's not even the split/divide between Gnashers and rifles. It's just... the quality of this forum has degraded severely since all the old-timers left. It's to the point where you can't even have intelligent discussion anymore because it results in the type of posts as previously quoted.

I noticed it's a different world from a few years ago. A very different place indeed. A few of my longtime friends from here actually got banned on purpose to not a have a reason to come back...and the others just sort of faded off of the face of the map. But then again, some of the newer crowd (code boomer babies ) are alright people to talk too

I'm just sticking around for now just for the judgement info. I'm hoping GOWJ brings a different light to the forums again.

There isn't much point in trying to discuss things properly anymore. God help the Gears of War community when Judgement comes out, because the situation on here will be even worse. Now that I think about it, it's probably a good job that Epic no longer visits here or listens to us, because the forum's collective average IQ is about 3.2.

As of right now the sawed-off is the only balanced starting weapon.

I hate the Sawed Off, but it's true.

Advantages:
You don't have to aim with it
Garaunteed kill unless you suck
Kill multiple players with 1 blast

Disadvantages:
Very long reload time
Low ammo count
very short range

With judgment would it be to hard to ask for a new game mode that I have thought up? Or is it too late?
Here's the idea:

It's like horde but its called stranded, in this mode you face waves of locust troops bent on taking the surface of sera building fortifications and bases anywhere on the map that you want, maps such as an early gridlock ( and seeing how I is earlier on that gears 1 the doors are still on the cars they are not rusting thy have just been abandoned in the last few weeks sort of thing) the crucial difference between horde and stranded is in stranded you have to go out and collect things to make the fortifications with so after each wave or so you streak across the map looking for wheels of a car to make a sliding gate or car doors make protective plated for the turret so you don't get shot.
In stranded you would be able to be creative and combine different pieces to make something that no one else has ever thought of making it unique and ether meaning you are able to survive. Also more people should be walking around the map and should have to try and save. Basically life in the eyes of a stranded scavenging things, making small bases in which to live and defend.

Please give me your thoughts on this and if EPIC ever come back to forums read please and say what you think.

You haven't said about the cowardice it brings to the game, players miss the shot or hit the shot then sprint away to reload. that is not what gears of war is about, its about a war fighting for the right to exist.

I have seen People just camp and wait for the entire game in one spot waiting for someone to walk past the firing round cover to kill them. If they die they go back there and continue waiting.

The only weapon that infuriates me when I die from it is the Sawed off. when I see some one on my team with a sawed off I don't help them at all in the game. they go down they are on their own.

It has no skill needed to use it they don't have to aim with it, you never go down from a sawed off shot luke you do with EVERY other weapon. I have seen them look forward when walkin past a wall and hit me when I'm on cover on the side of it(I didnt know they could bend bullets)

It's just a flat out noobs Weapon that should never again enter the gears universe!!

I already said that I hate it, and I hate it for those reasons but what I am saying is it is probably the most balanced starting weapons, the others are not balanced.

Ok, so things got messed up in here in a day! lol.

Be patient folks, we've still got months until release and a lot can change in that time so there's no point arguing over things we have no control over or moaning about other peoples opinions. Have a more diverse forum offers more opinions which can be harder to accept & understand but is better than "yes" men who all agree. We are all different after all.

As for the comment about stopping power preventing people from leaving cover... the accurate use of the bullets are meant to do that, not the fact that they make you walk in glue! IMO

I can still camp and ill still be downed from different angles, Lol. GOW3 to me is just not the same fun i had with GOW1 and 2. Not because of the rifles but there is more things that needs to changed.

I don't even use the retro, but it does the job it was intended for. To stop shotty users in their tracks. Nothing OP about that.

What needs to be fixed on it is the long range ability. It shouldn't be that accurate whether you are burst firing it or not.

Hammerburst now must be burst fired, it kicks to the sky with the 4th shot apparently. Cliffy B said in an interview that he regrets having the Sawed-Off in GoW3, not confirmed whether or not it'll be in Judgment. As for Retro, it makes sense canon wise and devs like it so it'll probably be in Judgment.
