New start up looking for a weapon modeler and animator

Like the title says, we are a new start-up working on our first two projects and would like to find a weapon modeler/animator to join the team. Unfortunately, we are not ready to discuss the project publicly but if you might be interested, please PM or email us (udk@scarybit<dot>com) and include a link to some samples of your work. We can then get you a NDA for further discussion.

Is this an un-funded start-up? If you cannot offer any pay, you will need to provide information about the game (like it or not) if you want serious offers. Plus, if you are un-funded, you should only be working on one project, otherwise things get too complicated. So, discuss the game, or suffer ultimate failure in your endeavors, and I promise it is not as original as you think it is (at this point, re-inventing the symbolic video game wheel is pretty much impossible). At the very least, you have to say the platform, genre, type of game, basic story premise (if there is a single player campaign), basic gameplay features (what makes this game unique). If you don't do this, you will fail, and you will never acheive anything on these forums. Besides that, what makes you a good leader? How do people know if your team is one that will last? Because, in all likelihood, it isn't, as most indie teams of this type fail. Anyways, I am too lazy to type more stuff, but I am sure people such as XstreamTech and Ironbelly will do that for me.

I don't know. As the guy who suggested they post here, I think they are in a much better position to succeed then you may think. But that's just my opinion.

I'm not saying they will not succeed at all, but I am saying they will not succeed if they do not post some real info and put real effort into this post.

Isn't that called being biased? I'm sure his parent(s) would tell him the same thing.

Either way nobody's going to bother with this thread unless there's a whole slew of information or they're being paid up front, simple as that.
