Default searched but couldnt find, why OG over NG+?

from reading here there seem to be a number of people who choose to stick to OG instead of moving on to NG+ and getting the awsome mastery^6 items.

is there a reason for this? are there any benefits to sticking to OG vs NG? what about negatives?

Yeah, now I mostly wear armor to match up with the looks of my weapons and helms, the health point stat no longer matters much

Unless you want to start over a new NG again and again, you can only fight two out of three of the sentinels as well as the Bog Giant/Moss Golem and Dark Fiend just one time, and can never fight the third Sentinel, second Thane or Raidriar and therefore cannot finish the story line. Once you do fight Raidriar, you lose everything and start over with only your stats in a new NG. Major drawback. I prefer to stay in OG, repeating the whole story line and fighting all of the bosses every four or five rebirths. And keeping my stuff. But I'm stuck at level 98, which is a drawback. However, the bosses keep getting harder to the point where you're really challenged (hardest for me is the Dark Fiend). I like that.

What do you mean you can never fight the thrid sentinal? Is that jn NG or OG.

A question for the NG people, what do yall do for gear since its all lost ever NG? What about gems?

This whole game confuses the heck out of me, between gems, and specs and gear im just lost lol. I like the idea of NG+ and getting stronger but i dont like losing all my gear like my clash mob gems and weapons.

Im a light user if that makes a difference.

I'm talking about NG. If you kill all three sentinels, on the next rebirth you're forced to fight Thane. From that point onward you can either deliberately lose to Thane or you're forced to complete the story line, in which case you start the next NG, or you fail to beat Raidriar and his goons and you restart the NG again with nothing.
