    Unhappy UT3 freezing my PC

    Hello everyone!

I just bought UT3 from Steam, however I can't even get through the first level. I had the same issue with the game Borderlands, which leaves me to believe it is something related to the Physix software.

Even without a certain event being require to the game freezing (catching health, cathing weapon, explosion), when I'm 5 minutes into the game, my whole PC freezes, and I have no other choice than to turn if off on the power button, leaving me with no error message to show.

I just ran the game at 100% with absolutely no graphic enhancement, everything at 0%, excluding the Hardware Physics enabled. Everything else is at 0% or Low, so I think it is an option on the graphic selection which causes the freezing...

    My Pc specs are:

    i7 2670 QM @ 2.20GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M
    6GB RAM.

    Thank you

PS: Every graphic driver is updated, already tried to redownload the game.

On the event viewer I only have the warnings of the computer being shut down incorrectly (I had to switch it off on the power button). As for the fps, I register 80 to 120, on full details, depending on what's on the screen.

it smells the too hot , if all start normally for some minutes and suddently stop it can be something becoming too hot, so it can be an idea to monitor your cpu and gpu temperatures as the game is somewhere a lil demanding on thoses two parts....

Thank you for your answer But no, I don't think it is related to the temperature :\ I run heavier games, that make my PC much hotter than UT3 :\
I always check for my Pc temp as soon as it collapses, and it's not hot at all actually !
