    Default custom iphone controls for vehicle

    right so far i have made a cannon that is still but lacking rotation.. i will post a video of what i mean.. i want to customize the controls for iphone interface like the analogs.. the left to make the whole mesh rotate clockwise and anti etc. and the right to make the cannon itself up and down.. ive used one socket from the scorpion, turret fire one for cannons movement i just need to attach it to the right analog stick for iphone..???????

    thats what im trying to figure out lol... sory to sound like a noob.. i have found the INI file (Mobile-UDKInput) and the controls that do everything but i have no idea how to set the controls to do something like on this INI file theres functions like strafe left etc... in my cannon.uc (factory) itl have the function where the turret socket is and that controls the movement of it but how would i set it so the right analog moves it instead? and also in the Mobile-UDKInput INI file, which is the controls exactly for the ones on the screen? because there are loads of inputs

    this is what i have so far... only thing is, the skeletal mesh keeps falling like it has no collision.. does anyone know how to sort this? it explains in this video

    this time i have the main mesh where i want it to be and rotate as i want but the actual cannon like teleports below and is not rotating with the mesh... when i rotate the mesh with the left analog i want it to auto rotate the cannon without me doing anything... then after a while the cannon dissappears!?!?!?

    Is the cannon a pawn if so it could be dying to encroaching which may explain the vanishing, what do your logs say?

    Also what happens if you increase the meshes z height in the skeletal mesh editor? Does it still fall? If so you could maybe tweak the pawns collision cylinder.

    Ignore the above if you aren't using a pawn hehe

    thanks for replying... na its not a pawn, at first i went via the unreal script way and making the mesh into a vehicle but then i looked at the jazz jackrabbit video tutorial with the iphone controls and found it tobe alot easier this way but as i expected it had problems... this way i imported the mesh seperatly into two parts, both with specific bones and sockets... to get them to link with each other (as best as i can atm) i just enabled the socket view and selected each mesh and then clicked on the 'other' mesh's socket so its snaps to it... if you havent seen already check the latest video that i posted and see....

    this is my latest problem with it:

    my latest test..

    basically i have it working BUT when i move one analogs rotation it reverts the opposite analogs rotation to back where it first was... please someone help me with this, its so frustrating.
