    Default Need some idea's

    Ill try here as it just died in the gears 3 section

    Hi im currently doing some designs for a gears RTS in my spare time, for fun because i have no skill in creating anything from my drawings.

    However im sure there are alot of Gear heads out there who know alot more about the gears law than i do so i would like to ask for suggestions of appropriate building's ( the units are already all out there on epics part ) for those not familiar with an RTS http://www.rakrent.com/rtsc/html/rnd2.htm <---- that's just about it. there's generally a HQ, power plant, barracks, vehicle construction, tech enhancement and a resource generator of some kind. what these buildings should be/ look like is what i would like your help with.

    I am currently working on the locust as there more interesting than a solid cog building. Here's a picture of what Ive got for a HQ at the moment

    Not the best drawing but like i said its for fun.

    The idea is that units would work in a similar way as those in Dawn of War while the building style be that of Battle for Middle Earth (pre decided construction sites that Builders would leave the HQ and travel to the sites to build them, its hard to explain if you haven't played them

    Ill add a list of the buildings i thought of after Ive hopefully seen a few of your idea's.

    This is good, which Battle For Middle Earth though? The original's inside a fortress but can build buildings within it, or the second game's build anywhere idea?

    im drawing it in the style of number 1 because with pre set build places the buildings can be blended with the environment making certain locust buildings look more natural

    That's pretty cool, should work well. I always kinda thought the first game's system looked interesting, need to try it some time.
