Personally i'm not a fan of boss fights and espicially defeating the tempest on Insane, it wasted hours of my life and i nearlly threw my xbox out of the window. However if they do put a big bOss fight on then i would hope they would

I think he means if the battle requires a HOD or Boomshot, you can Trade with the Ai, or the AI will pick up the weapon and help(maybe one or 2 of them can stay back and take care of the drones on the map)

Don't play on the hardest difficulty then? I'm the opposite tbh I not a fan of facing super grunts indefinitely, I'd much rather have a long boss fight they feel more EPIC!

I too hate long winded battles - was kind of shocked that EPIC mentioned in an interview that Anvil Gate was one of the fave scenes in GoW3 and more of those would be in Judgment. I mean what's fun in sitting back for ages and Lancering until the game decides you can move on?

I thought the tempest on Insane was quite easy. The hardest level on Insane for me was the submarine level, I had to do that with bots because they shot the fish straight away.

In RAAM's Shadow, you can just Sawed-Off him while he is attacking your teammates.(and he can get stunned with melee attacks, even when he has his kryll shield.)
So i believe Gears 1.

Im all for the boss fights, the GOW3 boss fight (IMO) was not as good as RAAM at the end of gears 1 but still a good fight. It was also not all the difficult, sorry to those who had trouble, I would deffinitley be interested in a more difficult campagin setting or boss's.

I also enjoyed Anvil gate, it wasn't because it was just a bunch of lancering either, to me it felt like a real battle, not just fights with groups of drones here and there, you were actually defending a fortress against a full out invasion, I would like to see more of this on an even larger scale in GOWJ, possibly mixed in with some close encounters (like they had the guys climbing the walkway at the second gate in anvil).

Sadly, games don't seem to have "extreme" boss battles anymore. If a boss fight takes more than twenty minutes, it's probably because it's cheap boss that requires a bunch of restarts. I don't like how bosses have been turned into a game of luck.

I assume that "fake" means "you win, as long as the boss doesn't use X attack." Some battles (RAAM in RAAMs Shadow is a good example,) come down to hoping that they don't use a one-hit kill.

I assume what they mean by fake is difficulty being raised just by increasing damage and health instead of "situational" intelligence and the ability to adapt to range, weapons etc.

real difficulty means that its an actual challenge, it requires skill to beat it.

fake difficulty means you need luck to beat it, all you can do is hope that the planets are aligned properly.

I think your the only gamer on the face of this planet that hopes for short boss fights. Seriously tho, when have you ever heard someone say oh i wish they dont give us any bosses... To me, that would make for a pretty lame game.

I mean its bad enough that games these days are so easy to beat. Like back in the day, on the sega, super nintendo ect, some games were near impossible to beat. Especially before they made internal memory and you had to beat things in one sitting. Compared to then, these games today are walks in the park. I want EPIC to give us a challenge. Especially on insane. Like the tempest was the biggest challenge they have given to us. Give us something like that, but dont wait till the final boss. Heck, start the game out with something like that.

I want a challenge, thats all im asking for...

I like boss fights, however i just feel on insane its down to luck, because after trying and failing a the tempest for hours, i left it for a bit and then i did it first time really easily. So if they have the boss fights then i hope as the difficulty goes up then it requires skill to beat it not just luck.
