Thread: FBX Anims

    Default FBX Anims

I've encountered another problem, this time with the FBX animation import for the AnimSet.
I have my idle animation made in 3ds max which works fine and smoothly. But when UDK imports the FBX, it has different ideas:

    (3ds max)

    (UDK)

I've also tried changing the units that FBX exports as, but it either shows no difference or makes the mesh dissapear. Any ideas?

Ok, I've fixed it by rerigging alot of times, and eventually, by tweaking the amount of bone segments it adjusted the mesh.

Have you baked the keyframes to the bones themselves? And have you made sure that your Bindpose is at the beginning of the timeline? Keying the bindpose at keyframes 0 and 1 is often a good idea.

I had already baked the keyframes, I'm not sure what was going on. But the issue has been solved and my other anims work for the same mesh.
