Extreme lag and constant disconnections.

Almost every game I join when I first turn on my Xbox, I lag horribly. My shots won't go off, my movements take forever to respond, and it ultimately ends up getting me kicked from the game and I am forced offline through disconnection.

No matter the map, gametype, or original game host. I can't escape it. It doesn't only happen on all public matches, but also in my friend's private matches.

I have all needed ports currently forwarded.

I connect fine while playing Halo and COD. Why does GOW refuse to let me play?

it's not Gears. If you are getting disconnected from XBL, something is wrong with your router.

I'd double check everything. I run 30-40 Mbps and sometimes have laggy matches but if it's kicking you out and it works on all other games I would try resetting your modem.

I've reset my modem, but as you may know, I can't be walking in and out of my room constantly resetting the modem in the room next to mine. Sad thing is that the problem persists, and if I dashboard after the disconnection, it automatically logs back into XBL without me even touching the reconnect option.

I had the same issue. I had to turn my router off for a good 15 minutes and then restart everything.

If this problem continues then contact your service provider. Obviously this issue doesn't relate directly to Gears, so you can find much better help through their customer service line.
