I've accepted the fact that there are people out there better than me at this game and I seriously don't have a problem with that. You'll never hear me complain about somebody who's ever beaten me in a fair fight. What I do have a problem with is people who somehow managed to pick up a boomshot on a map that doesn't have a boomshot spawn and fire 8 shots with the thing without picking up more ammo that's not supposed to exist on the map in the first place. That's cheating. You can tell me I'm full of it, but I've seen it and unless you've seen it for yourself, you wouldn't believe it either. The problem is there aren't enough moderators on XBox Live to keep up with this kind of crap.

No it does not get actives. No it does not have less kick. As for my friends, all the ones that play Gears 2 or 3 can. I have problems woth the joints in my hands and I STILL can hit the cap quite easily.

I've played ALOT and I've never seen this. What map? Was it a 1 off? Strange things happen. I can't believe you see this on a regular basis. The fact that we can play games over the internet on an XBox in HD is still pretty freaking cool. Can't complain with a little hiccup happens. That would be just sad I'm afraid.

It was a regular Guardian game and the map was Overpass. A guy on the other team had a boomshot and there isn't a boomshot spawn on the map. There's a torque bow/mortar spawn, but no boomshot. Just last night, my buddy was playing Force Multiplayer on Jacinto and something similar happened. Granted, there is a boomshot spawn on this map, but it switches with the hammer of dawn. Also, the guy my buddy was playing against fired 8 boomshots without picking up more ammo for the thing. The 8th shot was the one that killed my friend. he left after the match was over and reported the other guy for cheating.

Unless I'm mistaken, Overpass used to have a Boomshot on it. You were probably playing on a P2P connection and therefore weren't getting the updated weapon swaps.

I saw things like that frequently when Get Gnashty/Raven Down 24/7 were up. There would be weapon spawns on P2P Host connections when there wasn't supposed to be.

As for the 8 shots, I'm sure that was either lag, an exaggeration, or the guy picked up ammo. There is, again, zero way you can mod your Xbox and sign on to Live without being banned. Zero.

There used to be a Boomshot on Overpass. Master Roshi's explanation is probably correct.

Roshi's explanation is correct. Boomshot was taken out of Overpass a while back, so you were playing on host servers. As for the 8 boomshot-shots, it's hard to tell if they grabbed more ammo because so long as they have the weapon equipped, it will not tell everyone in the game that he grabbed more.

Take a quick look on the big auction site and you'll see plently of completed sales for modded controllers. Do you think people who are buying these are not using them??? There have been plenty of cases where I'm sure I've been downed by a modded HB.

The Hammy B has a fire rate cap regardless, even with an active. The snub pistol is the only gun that can be actived, removing the fire rate cap on itself. I dislike mods very much and do not think they should.be used. With the fire rate cap in place, they are almost made useless anyway.

There is a boom on overpass. Been there for a long time. I pick it up every time I can. It's the power weapon on the opposite side as the stairs going up top. I am pretty sure I play on the dedicated servers as I never get the host migration message. Haven't had that for a very long time. So like others have said. IT's not a glitch. It's just him picking up a weapon that was provided to him. Must be that you guys never attacked and just camped instead of going after the other team, allowing them to pick up more boom ammo. Your bad.

That's simply not true. Much easier to fire when you just hold a button down to achieve the max fire rate of the weapon instead of doing in manually. Also more accurate. Plus most people aren't going to hit that max fire rate. I know many people say they can and some surely do. Like Tao. But most can't. So that is an advantage.

Yea this is the only game I really hear so much of this "aimbot" nonsense. I don't understand how an "aimbot" could even work in this game.

A lot of the people that have accused me of having a modded HB are people that probably got hit really hard by my manually fired HB that had actives. Active HB shots and a fast firing rate is practically an instant down if the target isn't moving.

I never really thought about it that way I suppose, and I agree. I am an avid fan of the HB and can hit the max fire rate all the time but it is harder to keep the shots straight the faster you shoot. I suppose I was directing my points towards the people who say it can shoot faster than what the weapon is capable of doing, which isn't true. Thanks for the input.

Some guy was complaining about a modded hammerburst on the other team or something. I threw a grenade and killed like three people and at the end of the round I said "I must have had modded grenades." Everyone burst out laughing. Its so hard to take these whiners seriously.
