    Default The locust should talk more

    In my opinion the locust should talk way more and not just two or three words like die grub walker im talking full sentences.They make the locust seem completely dumb considering that they were once human to be believed.
    They said they have tryed to negotiate with the locust well give us a scene of one of these in the campaign. They should also have new multiplayer lines too.I think the game would be great if you could hear some locust talking some grub trash while playing the campaign or hollering out commands in full sentences. They would be more frightning if they had more to say they just seem stupid. What do you think.

    Everyone should talk more. I have no clue what happened in Gears 3 why everyone shut up all of a sudden.

    idk i guess since humanity is near extinction wasnt really much to talk about those days except for the weather

    I just wish there was more variation in the Locust's character voices. Too many characters use the same voices/lines.

    Locust that talks is just weird, well kinda but still talking locusts saying 'so how was your day' would just be so awkward aha.

    i wouldn't be surprised if the locust are even dumber in this game, because even 14 years after being exposed to humans shouting at them they could barely speak baby phrases. "Shiny!" "Mine" "Empty Meat" This game is only a few months after living with nothing more sophisticated than primitive hollow creatures. Excluding Kantus, they are definitely a different species and with the ability to talk to worms, and summon tickers they might talk in their screaming language more.

    Your implying that they got smarter over time, they talked more in previous game XD. Also totally agree with thread they need to talk more to be scary, you can only be scary while silent if you got your pedo stare on.

    Locust talk all the time just because you cant hear it over your lancer, your gnasher or whatever starter you happen to be using. Turn down your sound effects and turn up your character speech you will hear it.

    hello my friend, that Horde Insane Marathon was brutal, we did it but i actually had to take a couple days off, spent sat and sun playing madden 12 to relax, back to topic, your right, the locust actually talk quite a bit, i think perhaps a seperate language would be interesting, perhaps for the Theron Guard, to elevate them from the average stunted slime grubs. There should be at least one Locust Theron that has a Baird-like take on things, an almost sardonic and evil yet highly intelligent , wait.. was that Raam? nah, he was just a wierd looking hissing giant lizard man, bit he was scary, he was more like the Marcus equivilent in the Grub army..less talk more killing.. so sure why not, more grubs talking.. what could it hurt?

    For everyone that said they talk you just got to hear i know they say 3 words at the least i want them to say complete sentences and have more lines in the campaign talking to one another i specifically remember in gears 2 when baird said they were going to process me now i woulve loved to hear that

    They just need mroe variation and lines is all. All the basic MP classes of them sound the same and use the same lines. You have the drones, therons, Grenadiers, Kantus all saying the same thing for their respective types, with a few savage lines thrown in there for them. Raam and the Queen are a little different but that's it. I agree there should be a few more things they say, but not on the humans level.

    I don't think they should use full humanesque sentences. I like the simplistic "Die, groundwalker," and "Die, sapien!" I think it's cool how they're use of English is so different from the humans.

    Locust already make MUCH more sound than the CoG.
    Stand idle using a Drone variant - they will grunt every 20-30 seconds.
    Do the same with a CoG - no sound ever.

    Locust don't need to talk more - they talk the same amount as the CoG + randomly grunt/roar. All in all they are louder than the CoG.

    I'm fine with it in MP, but I really don't think they should talk much in campaign.

    I didn't think anyone around these parts had enough brain cells to remember what they had for breakfast yesterday, but that's a great way to prove me wrong.

    OT:
    Sure I guess, even though I do prefer silent characters... since it adds a bit of stealth. (GoW 2 Marcus/Baird/Flame G had the muffled roll, while Cole and the Therons were excessively loud.) In Gears 3 everyone is pretty loud with rolls, but no one is too chatty or says as much dialogue as in previous games.
    I'd have to say that the Kanti do seem a bit chattier than the rest of the Locust though.

    Perhaps speaking English is just a bad habit they picked up on the surface. They are obviously intellegent and coordinated like any predatory pack animal, but they have the capacity to design weapons and architecture. I would imagine this would require sophisticated communications. As for MP, sure, let em talk all they want to.
