I think this is a definite. In the book it's is revealed that most deathless despise humans, however, he appreciates them. It goes on to explain that he has learned that he must control them and that nothing else is more important. I think Raidriar controls the humans in his kingdom so that he can maintain power, thus protecting them From other deathless

I dont know if he will end up being a 'good guy' but i does seem that he is not the ultimate bad guy. He basically says so when we defeat him in IB:1. The real question for me is whether WoS is the ultimate bad guy or if he works for an even more powerful Deathless...
I think the enemy is right under our noses: Deathlessness itself. True, Deathlessness will have to die with a person or persons, but it still seems likely that, like the One Ring, the real enemy is something small that eventually corrupts a person and turns them into a monster and therefore must be destroyed.
