NB: First off, I'd like to give a big thanks for Terra D Serph for helping me expand my idea
I think it's kind of a no brainer for Horde 2.0 to return in Gears of War: Judgment, however I wouldn't expect a Horde 3.0 with OverRun being the new playlist announced. What I'm expecting is kind of like a Horde 2.5 with DLC size additions made to it such as - new bosses (Seeders), new creatures we've been promised, new updates to existing fortifications and of course some brand new fortifications.
So anyway, onto the point of this thread. Here is what I propose as a new Horde fortification:
-----------------------------------
The Bank
Ok, it sounds kind of stupid, but hear me out. Money is a massive aspect of Horde 2.0 and is used to repair fortifications and extra money can only be earned through completing certain challenges. Extra money is always welcome, so here's an idea on how more money could be earned.
Can it be upgraded?
The Bank could be upgraded to a maximum level 4.
What would it look like and where can it be deployed?
A simple little box (kinda like a box for completing a challenge) located in the middle of the map. It has 150% of a Wretch's health (so 50% more...) and if it is destroyed the money is frozen (and an error message pops up saying 'BANK CASH FROZEN'). You now need to repair your bank (costs 50% less than it would normally if you do it straight away) and your money is back and you can keep earning interest (credit to Terra). If you don't repair the bank straight away, you start losing 10% cash per wave (this only kicks in if you leave it for more than 2 waves).
So what does it actually do?
Basically, if you walk over to 'The Bank' a little icon will pop in the middle of your screen telling you how much money you have. Then, you have the option to press 'B' which will prompt you with the text 'Give Money'. You can also press 'X' which will prompt you to 'Take Money'. Each time you press 'B' you will put $500 into The Bank or you will receive $500 for pressing 'X'.
So what does this do other than storing money? Interest. The amount of interest you earn would vary depending on boss waves, actual waves (so you get more interest on waves 40-50 than 1-10) and obviously upgrades would also come into play.
The interest would be added on at the end of each wave (during the 30 second interval). At the end of wave 49, money is evenly distributed to the players. You can take out your own balance if you wish this not to happen.
Do players have separate balances? (credit to Terra)
Yes, each player has a different balance. Whoever puts the money in gets ALL the interest to themselves, however additional cash (see the section below) is distributed evenly between players.
Costs, Upgrades and Interest Rates
^^To add to this, I think each upgrade should go as follows (in terms of boss waves and interest)
Level 1 - 100% more interest (boss wave) plus $5000 distributed cash
Level 2 - 120% more interest (boss wave) plus $15,000 distributed cash
Level 3 - 150% more interest (boss wave) plus $30,000 distributed cash
Level 4 - 200% more interest (boss wave) plus $50,000 distributed cash
Requirements:
Upgrade Level 2 - spend $30,000 on building/repairing
Upgrade Level 3 - spend another $120,000 on building/repairing
Upgrade Level 4 - spend another $450,000 on building/repairing
-----------------------------------
Once again, I came up with the original idea and credit goes to Terra D Serph for helping me expand it. Milky Pirate gets a little shoutout too as he reminded me that you need to be able to take money out the bank as well as put it in haha.
Few final things regarding the poll and such. First off, if you're going to vote (negative or positive) please spend a minute just dropping a comment letting me know why you like/dislike the idea. And secondly, please don't vote 'no' just because you dislike the cash system. It will most likely be in Judgment's version of Horde, and I think that it isn't a fair representation of my idea if you're voting 'no' because of the cash system.
Anyway thanks for reading, and if you didn't bother, look below

'Too-Long-Didn't-Read Version'
Basically it's a fortification where you put money in and various interest gets added on.
