After first time installation, then attempting to run for the first time:
"The application failed to start because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem."
System spec at time of first run attempt
Quadcore intel
4gig ram
more hd internal space i could possibly want
vista x64 sp1
direct x 10
9 series nvidia
Decided to spend the day cleaning up my system and updating it as much as i could "specificly" to run UDK
so after a day here is my system
quadcore intel
4 gig ram
even more free space, fully scanned and de fragmented
re-installed vista x64 sp2 - netframework 4
direct x 11
9 series nvidia (with latest stable drivers)
So i go to reinstall UDK after a day of cleaning up things... after a successful install when I try to run UDK editor
low and behold
"The application failed to start because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem."
wonderful.. what a waste of a day, and hope
I dont understand how one must run UDK..
cant find ANY help .. no help WHAT SO EVER on google pertaining to "X3DAudio1_7.dll" and "UDK".. nothing at all.. 0 .. nowt... zilsh, nada.. not a bean.
So after another few days of trying different things with no success, I decided to register on this what looks to me like UDK's "Official" forum, looking for someone to help me get this to run on my system
Can some bright spark please help, ive done all I can, literately
regards
EDIT:
After doing a full system search for x3daudio1_7 i find this
the first 2 are as is.. the others I assume are within archives (ie the udk installation files..etc)
Are the 2 first entries in the correct place?
why if the dlls are on my system UDK still wont run.. what is going on here? arggg
