custom gears with interchangeable helmets/body armor/gloves/pants/hats stuff like that.
ive been waiting 6 years for customizable characters in a gears of war game. i love all of the original characters BUT i really want to make my own ya know? what do you guys think? should there be customizable characters in gears or should it stay the same as all the other ones and just have the original characters?

If they were to do this then I don't think the original characters would be used.

It be custom Gears and that's it.

Not for Judgment but maybe if they did a MP only version of Gears much later down the road.

I think I should be able to choose what helmet I get for my COG Gear or G3 COG Gear(I.E. for the G3 Gear, I put Ben's helmet, and for the Classic Gear, I put the G3 Gears Helmet.)

No. No one would use the classic characters and everyone would just make really unrealistic characters. Like in Smackdown the CaW mode is full of stupid creations man. Purple Mohawks with Pink shorts.

Sorry, but, I don't really agree with the idea. I usually do like customizing stuff, but with Gears, I enjoy the story characters, and having to unlock them.

It couldn't work with Gears due to the fact that it doesn't use modular pawns. Then there is the issue with the way the soundgroupclasses and unscripted dialog system works.

I want this. What's then problem? You could still have original story characters or just make your own. Then if you want to okay as baird etc you can. Ands...they could just make it so they still look realistic and in keeping with the game. Like No mohawks No pink armour etc... although I don't see h it would matter if they keep the weapons skins. Pink lancer anyone?

One of the things that sets Gears apart is that even the multiplayer characters actually have a back story, different personalities and voices etc. If you let people design your own, you just end up with loads of nameless soldiers, like other shooters have.

It can also be handy to specify what characters the enemy team are using at times, helps you tell your mates where they are for example. But mainly it's just nice to have actual characters.

For COG:
Armor Type: Classic Gear, G3 Gear, Classic Marcus, Onyx Guard, Jace, Clayton, Recruit Clayton, and the other G3 COG you see in G3's campaign.(Maybe stuff like Anya or Sam for the women that play this game)

Helmet: Anthony, Benjamin, Clayton, Recruit Clayton, Onyx Guard, G3 Gear, Classic Gear(Other Helmet),ect...

For Locust:
Body Type: Drone, Grenadier, Grenadier Elite, Savage Drone, Savage Grenadier, Savage Grenadier Elite, Theron, ect....

Helmet: No helmet, Theron Sentinel, Theron Guard, Savage Theron, Savage Drone 1, Savage Drone 2, Savage Drone 3, Savage Drone 4, Bolter, Spotter, Cyclops, Drone 1, Drone 2, Drone 3, Drone 4, Drone 5, Miner, Beast Rider, Hunter, Troika Gunner, Sniper 1, Sniper 2, Goggles, Glowing Goggles, ect...

Shoulder Pad: Miner, Cyclops, Bolter, Spotter, Sniper 1, Sniper 2, Drone 1, Drone 2, Drone 3, Grenadier 1, Grenadier 2, Hunter Elite Armband, Savage Grenadier, Savage Marauder, ect...

Just the other day I got beat by a tag team of Spongebob and Patrick on WWE 12. :P

Anyway, unlike the WWE games, there would be restrictions and certain things to create, I'm sure. Kind of like the NHL and Halo games.

I've wanted CAG since the first Gears, but it's not going to happen.
