I think gears 3 maps really let the game down , so I'm putting forward some Ideas for new maps.
Monastery
A former large home for monks in the hills above char. A great monastery crumbling, pillars falling, bodies of monks sit, cross legged where the locust killed them , writing on the wall , about the end . A torque bow lies in the middle on the destroyed crypt of cog hero surrounded by large pillars. Teams can fight in the open grounds between fountains where blossom falls from the burning trees.
Sovereigns.
A headquarters for coalition operations and highly defended, stairs , narrow corridors , sandbags and statues. all surrounding a large courtyard with sniper towers at each end.
Refinery.
An imulsion process plant deep in the forest. Rain and lighting thunder down on the rusty refinery and the dripping pipelines around. Teams start outside in the storm and rush inside for cover. Inside is a main production plant with loud machinery. Inside is dark and only lit with the intermittent lightning. In the middle there is a boomshot sitting on an exposed path between turbines. Upstairs are the control rooms where a master switch turns on the lights and another makes the machinery move. A hidden surpise also comes when the lights go on. Outside wretches scream in the storm.
Crossing.
A main bridge into jacinto, once well kept it now rusts and creaks, Teams start at each end, they can go over the top and meet in the middle at a cog blockade , or go underneath and fight between crates on a pedestrian pathway and a maintenance level. The blockade in the middle has a set of steps at each end, allowing each team to get on top, where a longshot sits, between sandbags and other cover.
Emergence
A main street in Ilima, littered with emergence holes and devastated. there is a main street running p the middle. rows of shops to the right and to the left a series of steps up to a museum.
Munitions.
A cog warehouse where they stockpile weapons and ammo for the fight ahead. In the middle there lies a warehouse with a maze of crate and at the back a lab where the coalitions best and brightest work on blueprints for the new lightmass bomb.
Captivity.
A CoG research facility where the scientists run tests and examine their new enemy. Corridors of cells line the facility where locust of all shapes and sizes, shout and scream for freedom. The medical labs at the back of the facility make for great battles, providing you dont shoot the bodies hanging on the walls and the blood distorts your vision.
Justice.
Jacinto's grandest courtroom, a series of steps , the lobby , the courtroom containing a torque bow, and with it, a death sentence. The court where baird and marcus fenix were sentenced by the cog judges. Now shakes and trembles when locust attack. The huge statue out the front lies on the brink of toppling over. A fine metaphor for law and order falling with it.
