its confirmed to be the semi-auto rifle like in the past 2 games. also more recoil is being added to make it more like thr retro after firing 3 shots. lastly its not a hack its a mod

As more details come out for GOWJ, I hope "fans" will begin to see the light. EPIC clearly doesn't care what their "fans" want and know that they will buy Gears of War 3.0 blindly, in which the "fans" will realize they wasted another $90(assuming it will come with a Season Pass) on content they don't care for or did not want. I was going to get it but then I saw the light and hopefully many of others will too and refuse to get a polished Gears of War 3.

We have next to zero information overall on the game.

The game already looks VERY different than Gears 3. The changes we know of already made the game completely different.
Hell Gears 3 is my favorite overall out of them. It is the most polished out of the trilogy. Gears 1 has the worst movement system out of them (movement was VERY stiff) and missing many basic features (mantle kick, nade planting, crawling while down ect).
Gears 2 - yeah I'm not going to list all the faults this had as it's too many. Added 2 nice features (nade planting and crawling while down) but that was about it.
Gears 3 - polished. Sure it's not a chrome polish. However out of the 3 it's the best.

gears 2 added a lot more than that (like chainsaw duels), but yes..... gears 2 is the equivalent of microsoft's windows ME

No, he did because it doesn't matter. Fun and gameplay trumps minor details like weapons. They basically said get over it, the Lancer MK2 is in the game and it's going nowhere, and the hammerburst most likely isn't going back to burst fire, Quinn was asked and basically laughed the question off citing the current change, it's still semi auto.

They aren't going to eliminate a fun or iconic aspect of the gameplay because some players are mad it didn't appear until 6 months later. It's not a big deal.

After the third shot, not the fourth. It's increased recoil.

People are always going to master weapons and make them look like easy weapons to use.

Sorry that every controller I touch turns into a modded one. I think we should worry about the retro as its been said a million times over the hammy. If it didn't make the opposing players screen shake so much it wouldn't be as powerful

You have to realize that forum community though it seems quite large is only a small portion of the community. Not everyone is adamant having a burst fire rifle in Gears of War again.
