Default Saving my own code in unreal script format

I'm using Notepad++ to edit and create extensions for the UnrealScript. But I cannot save it as an unrealscript file. Is there an extension for notepad++ or a free program that does this? The only other program I've seen that can do this is microsoft visual stuio, but that costs money and the trial is a 3 gig download and my internet is all slow.

    please halp.

Just copy an existing uc file and modify it.
Please don't send me private messages asking how to use UDK unless it has to do with my work, everything I can teach is already out there.

I am not support, I am here to learn myself.

You can also create a new file with just the regular notepad, choose save as, change the dropdown on the bottom from txt to all files, and type the name of the file and ad ".uc" at the end of it.

I use notepad++ and don't have this problem. Just select no file extension and save as .uc
    - Please do not send me questions regarding programming or implementing things in UDK via Private Message. I do not have time to respond and they are much better answered in the forums. -

This is exactly what I do. Also, using UnCodeX (or a similar code library browser) alongside your text editor really really helps.
