    Default Why cant i make my static mesh a rigid body?

    I have a static mesh i need to make a rigid body but i cant, i used to know how but i think i forgot so how do you do it again?

    If you mean in the editor, just make it a kActor.

    Yeah. You need to right click the mesh and choose convert static mesh to change it to a kactor

    But why cant i get the Rigid body option? i can get it with another mesh. i have a flashlight that im attaching to the player so it needs to move.

    also my mesh disappeared

    RigidBody = KActor.

    RigidBody is the name used for skeletal meshes.

    But i had a mesh ball that was CSG and i converted it to a static mesh and made it a rigid body, why could i do it to that though? it wasnt a skeletal mesh.

    but either way the mesh disappeared so why do you think that happened?

    Is it just sitting on the ground? If so its probably your KillZ. If you didn't lower it in the world properties it's probably destroying the kactor.

    No its hovering about 48 UU off the ground, i dont have a killz in my map.

    There's always a killz, if you haven't modified it, that is likely the issue.
