Gem forge?!(85&(!??

Going on Chairs' word that the gem forge will always give you something better then the highest value gem you use in a forging process, I happily place my +169 ATk stat gem in, along with two other smaller ATk stat gems (+112 and +40 both decent gems in their own respects) in the bid to try and finally have a +200 gem. 3 days later I excitedly pressed finish when the gem forge was done and was gifted with a glorious +170 ATk gem what the <#^*#> $&@* why I oughta >€£€ |[£~£ {€,!4;& )&;@ ;$"-/,?!?!!!!
I know the value of the lower gems has bearing on the outcome, even if all 3 are the same gem type but REALLY?! +1 on the original? Are there any ways to increase the chances apart from using all highend gems for the forge? I already have several +150-+160 gems but i thought it seemed pointless to use three in a forge when it's still only marginally better than the highest

I believe the gem forge rewards you for using gems with large gaps in value. Although it looks like you did, but I'll continue anyways. I read on the Gem Recipe thread that if you take a gem of value 100k+, another gem valued around 25k and a trash gem worth around 5k the gem you get has a higher chance of changing radically (or at least being worth the 500k cap)

thats why u dont do that, a better idea is to combind the big gem with 2 of the 40+, you will get a better result, also dont combind 2 strong gems

Yup its kinda sucks. But if compare to the last expensive forging pricing, I rather have the current one, even I have to forge a few more time ^_^ just try a few more and c Julz, hv fun with it

Try putting the gems in this order of strength when maximizing stat gems of a single type:

(middle)(strongest)(weakest)

This seems to produce the best results for me.

Same BS for me. I forged three large Drop Rare Items gems with about +20% to +22% stat, all worth around 300k-330k each. Four days later it gave me Drop Rare Items +24% worth around 340k.

Forging slows down the closer you get to the gems cap. Drop rare max is 25%.

this is pretty good considering the Drop Rare Items cap is 25% per gem

Same. I equipped two drop rare 24% gems for quite a few rebirths trying to get some scrolls and locked items that I needed and didn't get anything of note.

hey, don't feel bad OP, I just did a gem forge and got a gem identical to one of the ones I put into it. At least yours had a +1 improvement haha
