    Lightbulb Realistic War like mod

    I know this is a long shot, no one is willing to make it, I was wondering how cool it would does this sound:

    A war mod that has, Jet fighters, Bombers, Stealth Bombers, Tanks, Gunships, Artillery, Navy and Anti Air defence systems, I know no one will make it but the idea of it is cool right? Each team with their own weapons and vehicles but still balanced, like blue team has the weaponry of Western nations like Germany, France, UK and America and red team has Russian and Chinese weaponry.

    here's the list of all "realistic" vehicle and weapon packs i have
    Advanced Armor Vehicles
    AirPower
    Tango Dawn Vehicle Pack
    SeaPack
    Annihilation Arsenal
    Atakapa Battle Copter
    BE Vehicle Pack
    BTR-80A Puma Amphibious APC
    Opel Blitz
    WMB Jeep

    find and download them, and then just open unreal editor and add any vehicles and weapons you want to any big ONS map and you'll get what you want

    Apart from YARM, there is RedOrchestra too. That is WW2 setting but pretty realistic.

    Talking about realistic war games, there is an indie game in development that aims to create a hyper-realistic war game using Unreal Engine 3:

    Quite an interesting concept there, I'd love to see how it turns out.

    It looks cool, but one thing I have never seen in UT2004 is a vehicle that is based primarily on engaging Aircraft like a Mobile SAM:

    Something like that would be cool.

    The America's Army games have all been made using the Unreal Engine. V2.8 was the last release to use Unreal Engine 2, the same as UT2004. It's free and v3.3 available on Steam, but apparently is 2.8 is still available somehow. Beside that, Red Orchestra is the most comprehensive "realistic" war mod. It was eventually released as a stand alone game on Steam along with a couple of sequels, but you can still find the v3.3, the final version of the mod around. One other game that tried for realism, albeit in a fantasy setting, was Troopers: Dawn of Destiny, based on the Star Wars universe. V6.0 is the final version.

    Something like that sam launcher exists in the UT40k mod, which is based off the WarHammer 40.000 universe.

    In there you can find the "Whirlwind":

    I admit it was more for use as a ground supporting artillery, but I'm sure you could throw a missile barrage at aircrafts too...

    I have that mod, it is great but it locks on the ground vehicles as well, I am fussy, I apologise. that warhammer one looks kinda cool, the PLS is that what it is in Annihilation pack is cool as well, but missiles fall back to earth, If there is a Mobile SAM like that of Civilization 5's Mobile SAM, that would be cool.

    You have a link to that warhammer mod thing?

    Actually, the quality is all right to my opinion. It's a pretty old mod, but actually you could make the Whirlwind usable outside the mod by intergrating the mod files into your stock directory - this way it will be selectable with vehicle replacer muts. BUT this method will spam your char list, gametype list and weapon list with the UT40k stuff too, so take that into account.

    you can actually connect the folder with mod to the game itself
    open UT2004.ini, find section [Core.System] and put these lines after everything in this section:
    MusicPath=../ModFolder/Music
    Paths=../ModFolder/System/*.u
    Paths=../ModFolder/Maps/*.ut2
    Paths=../ModFolder/Textures/*.utx
    Paths=../ModFolder/Sounds/*.uax
    Paths=../ModFolder/StaticMeshes/*.usx
    Paths=../ModFolder/Animations/*.ukx
    Paths=../ModFolder/KarmaData/*.ka
    and then open every .ucl file in the mod's system directory and put ";" before lines with things you don't want to appear ingame)
