Someone Else Watching Us?

I got a screenshot of me fighting in the tomb today, and there was a reflection of a shield on the ground. I know it's not from the door where you unlock swords and other stuff, because it's the door where you get the nahte

The reflection is from a Phoenix Guard.
Though shields don't show up on Siris while using dual swords, was the Phoenix Guard 'equipped' in your inventory? I know it doesn't explain the reflection, however, somehow it's a connection.

No, I had the silver light equipped.

That's the shield that that enemy uses. Perhaps an error?

it's not stuck to the ceiling. it's flying through the air! Look again at the photo and you'll see the pointed end of the shield interrupts the reflection of the column.

Speaking of wierd crap in this room,, I was trying to check out the purple gem in the Aran helmet area.


Noticed this shadow on the steps. What is it? The other steps do not have a shadow, it does not match up with anything. Kind of looks like an infinity bladeshadow.jpg



And.... I just noticed that the Tomb room looks just like the room below the God Kings Throne room, has the statues elavator and architecture

This room is the first time we see a large red drapery/curtain with the "phoenix guard" on it. The phoenix is also on the platform/elavator.

And of course, the Phoenix guard is the shield in SAB's photo!

Considering that the Arena and the room to the birthing chamber in IB1 have the same door, I used to think that both castle's were Raidriars, but now I'm thinking that they may have been Ausar's.

I was just trying to explain it rationally, except I missed that the shield doesn't appear to be above the column section.

The reflection is there,but the object causing the reflection isn't. Like an inverse vampire shield!

I gotta agree, it does resemble the IB. First it on the WoS back when it shouldn't be and now this strange shadow!

Brrrr. I'm starting to get creeped out about this now. Two too many odd occurrences of the IB that don't seem to be a bug.

I don't think it is a purple gem. To me it looks like a key sticking out of a chest of some kind. I was thinking maybe the relic from the past could be inside or maybe that's it. I didn't know where else to post it but has anyone ever noticed that TEL follows you in the Arena as well. It's the path taken to the left from the courtyard. I only noticed this today.

that's a reflection of the back of the phoenix guard too, which is kinda weird. I think it's just a bug, but if not it's sure an interesting way of hinting at something.

Honestly the shield reflection looks like a bug or some other error, it's to prominent to be a reflection, there would be some degradation in the image. Further, no one is actually holding the shield, there is no hand or arm reflection unless the person watching is holding up the shield with telekinesis, which would be interesting and maybe plausible-we already have rings and weapons that have magical properties. But I doubt this is the case, as I'm just making wild guesses.

The purple thing in the corner of the Halfstar/Aran cell is gone now in II.3 so my guess is that room was not well quality checked and some erroneous junk got through.
