cannot play online, possible ban?

wenever i go to play a versus game it tells me that my current profile settings do not allow online play and for me to change them in order to play online. now i was on the phone with xbox trying to figure it out and we tried every possible thing and it still says it. the guy on the phone told me that it could mean i was banned but i would have no idea why or for how long. any help?

Did you check to see if the 360 may have glitched and turned on parental settings? Is your account below the age of 18?

noo i checked all that like i said me and the guy on the phone went thru every possible scenario and it still dosent work

If you've modded or glitched your account or idle boosted in a public match youll earn a ban.

You can contact the forum admin to ask if and/or why you have been banned. None of us can definitively tell you.

This may sound dumb, but you have Gold subscription? lol idk, 90% sure that is a ban, sorry

Bans are issued for many reasons including modding your stats/rank/unlocks and idle boosting online. Bans can also be transferred if a banned gamertag is used on your console or you use your gamertag on a banned console. All bans issued for these reasons are permanent. If you believe none of the aforementioned reasons to be applicable to you, I suggest you contact a forum admin via the link at the bottom of the page and they will be able to specify the reason your account has been banned. Please be patient if you choose to do so as it may take several days for someone to get back to you with the applicable information.

On the Gears Menu, press < button to check what your LAN's status is. If it's in LOCAL, it may be the reason why you couldn't play online. If it's on any of the other modes (Joinable by Public/ Joinable by Friends/ Invite Only) and still won't connect you to versus mp online it might sadly be a ban bro.
