Previous Horde Playlists from Day 1

I hope they make all Hordes, but if I had to pick I'd like Horde 2.0 ...

I just like the fortifying of a position, and the dynamic it adds to the battlefield when you've got a full team actually cooperating and investing into your base.

I'm not sure what Judgment Horde would be. Part of me thinks that "Horde with Classes" would be kind of cool, but I would hate to not be able to pick my character skin and change weapons. So to me Horde 2.0 would be the best way to go about it.

We'll see once the game comes out, but they better program the ability to add more playlist for horde (and beast) for weekend events at least.

How about we wait and hear the announcements before jumping the gun on separate playlists?

Judgement Horde (Which I assume will be like Gears 3, with a few improvements)

Map Pack Horde (Which will have 3 options for different maps, some classic/some regular)

Yes, that just so happens to be a pre game option discussed in my other thread.

I keep thinking that from time to time but then you have to think, Why would they make OverRun, A game mode that was made from both Horde and Beast and not make those 2 game modes (Horde, Beast) in this version of Gears?

You're speaking for a lot of players. Epic might change it a lot, even change its name, but something like Horde is bound to be in Judgment. And two or three playlists isn't too many. The current issue of OXM confirms a co-op survival mode of some sort.

Gears 2 had 2 horde playlists and I could find matches right up until Gears 3 came out (now it is a ghost town for obvious reasons ).

Incorrect. It still has plenty of players. Sure, not that many people play it, but people can be found.

Agreed. The hardest things about horde now is (a) finding ppl that stay past wave 4, and (b) not getting frozen out (which maybe has something to do with my first point?)

Really? after an hour of searching and the game just puts me in lobbies by myself giving a choice of 2 maps, I may as well go in private and just choose the map I want if the game is so unplayed now that it is going to make me play by myself.

I am telling you, nobody plays Ranked Horde on Gears 2 anymore. There is no point in social horde, you join a random ass wave on a random ass map or (and this is 90% of the time for me) get put in a lobby by myself with the game asking me to choose between 2 maps of which I might as well play private with friends which I can't do because everybody plays Gears 3 horde and if Judgement has it, judgement horde.

No, I am complaining about the fact that when I tried last night (and indeed many other occasions since Gears 3 launch) I was searching for a match for a good 10 mins before the game finally realized that no-one plays Ranked horde anymore and then it put me in a lobby by myself AGAIN. If i'm gonna play by myself I might as well play private so I can choose what map I want. This is why Judgement (Actually I believe Gears 3 should have had it) needs a separate playlist from regular horde even if it is only temporary like at the weekends or something that lets us play Classic Horde, Creepy Crawlie Horde, Ticker Tuesday etc. without replacing the regular horde because people complain that they can't play regular horde every time there is a horde event.

Now, you might be fine finding matches on GoW2 horde but I am from the UK and when searching at UK peak times NOT US peak times, it is next to impossible to find matches. This is again why Judgement needs separate playlists for horde even if it only has 3 options which would be:

- Standard
- Event Horde
- Private

Whether you agree or not, Horde NEEDS more than 1 public option or a hell of a lot of custom options in private.

I find this so weird mt, I'm from uk and I ve NEVER struggled to find a horde game. I've got about 17 000 waves under my belt since release and never struggled for a game at peak times :s

There's no splitting if the other modes are for private parties only. People that play enough will certainly get around.

This is an after thought but do u have open, mod or strict connection? I've had mainly moderate and strict recently and if the host quits out sometimes then wen the level restarts I'm playing alone. I'm guessing because none of the other players have a connection that will support hosting. Could b this maybe?

Yeah. Not that many people play it, but enough do to find a game. I can almost guarantee it's something on your end.
