Furthermore: with the mention of renewed survival-horror aspects creeping into Judgement, I hope something along the lines of the Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 could be in there: that idea of being stalked through a city by a near-invincible enemy (RAAM even?). This would be excellent if done right, in my opinion.

    Traps: true enough, you're right.

Underground: I bet the Onyx Guard enjoyed going underground..do you think there could have been large incursions into the caves in the past by the COG as well? I think they'd have had to had a reason not to go down there after a certain point, if you follow my meaning.
Large scale Hollow incursion? I think there's a high probability that it happened at some point, and that it failed spectacularly, which would be the reason it wasn't attempted again. I mean, it would have had to have been large scale for regular grunts like Dom to know of it, like he mentions in Gears 2. If it were all just intel gathering and re-con missions, it's unlikely that regular soldiers like Dom would be aware, need to know and what not.

Well... actually... you may have a point. Videogames are a strange beast, constantly evolving at an incredible rate, unlike any other narrative driven interactive media. I guess in order to create great games, you need to love gaming, otherwise you'll never have the understanding and experience necessary to exploit the potential they offer. Measured passion is a large part of success in any endeavor.

    STAAHHRRRZZZZ!!!

It's true to say that evasion rather than confrontation plays a big part in survival horror, and in of itself can be an interesting and dramatic game mechanic. They've even made entire games based on the premise of evasion, the Clocktower series for example. It's been in Gears 1 too, the part with the Berserker in the tombs, where you had to lead the Berserker outside in order to use the Hammer of Dawn. So yeah, it could definitely work in GOW:J. It's that feeling of helplessness and relentless pursuit, there's a visceral thrill there which works well with a survival horror theme. Which I'm hoping is part of the direction that GOW:J will take.

Yeah, the Berserker bits were really tense and creepy, imagine that drawn out to a longer section of a city or a sewer for example, with sounds of the pursuer in the distance every so often, and sudden pants-****ting appearances right next to you.

I hope we see some kinds of big attacks on the Locust, trying to re-take cities, entering the underground caves and so on. The latter could be good as well, trying to escape with a few survivors after your huge attack force has been crushed.
