Golden Miner/Hunter Advice.

Hey People!

So, I've been grinding out the kills for Golden Miner and Hunter recently, and I've already got the Hammerburst, Retro, and Gnasher Gold/Onyx. Let me tell you, grinding sucks. I hate it. Period.

So, forum, any advice on how to make grinding less boring, or go by faster? Feel free to also share how close you are to them, or your sucess stories on how you got them.

Um...killing people in Versus is exponentially more fun than grinding with bots.

Using the SoS in Versus is actually kind of fun, it's alot different playstyle than using the Gnasher which gets boring after 6 years of it

But the fastest way to grind starting weapon kills is to do KotH on Raven Down. I've heard that's what SoS grinders do

i got them while going for 3.0 which I have now. grinding will never be fun. no.
listen to music while you do it, makes it less painful.

Play Zeta, Alpha, or one of the other less populated modes. Chances are you'll be stuck with bots majority of the time, anyway.

Zeta in particular is fantastic for Lancer/Sawed-Off kills.

Yea it does make it better because i feel like with music i can`t rage i am focused on the music and not the game so i dont realize how long it is taking.

So far with grinding the starting weapons I think the retro (Gold) is the worst and it was so boring and tiresome but music helped me a bit

15 Round KoTH on Raven Down, ~60 Kills per round.

That's how I did. Also, make sure you're not doing it passively. It will be much quicker and less tedious if you're trying (i.e. if you predict the spawns and whatnot - trust me, you'll know the spawns inside and out by the time you've finished xD)

As many other have said, Music is definitely a major help. You could also always join a XBL Party and chat with your friends to pass the time as well to help make it less painful. Sectioning it off and doing some 500 or so kills a day works well too so you don't burn yourself out every day.

Pretty much. I did some Hammerburst/Retro boosting the other day on Raven Down KOTH. Definitely need some music to dull the pain. But that Golden Hunter is badass!

Play online versus, that'll kick in the fun juice.

But just like what the others mentioned, play KOTH on private with everything maxed (points, Number of Rounds, bleed out time) in Raven down. It'll be fast paced and bring on some heavy metal music on the background for some grindfest fun!

Using the Golden Hunter though is enough motivation I tell you. He's simply badass!
