    We don't even have Ink grenades.
    I want Inks back, and the lolstun grenades we have removed.

    But there is no Ink in this game.

    its a GERNADE its not suppose to take skill, in my opinion I think they should just go back to a gears 2 ink which is extremely well balanced and useful if you know how to use it. The ink should be used as a crowd control weapon and along side a team mate who can fire into it, but alas that type of weapon doesn't get used in matchmaking because most people are not the type to use team work or understand the purpose of a crowd control weapon. This leads to certain weapons getting bad reps like the gears 2 ink.

    Reduce the Stun radius, in my opinion all the nades besides incen's need a nerf

    I suggest 3 options

    1. Keep the stun but, the grenade detonates as it did in GOW2
    2. Remove the stun but the grenade detonates as it does now
    3. Keep the stun but you can walk as if you were stunned by a smoke grenade

    I personally would prefer option 2, that way it keeps the framerate lag down and probably make the ink a little bigger so as to blanket an area.

    id guess that removing the stun, really removes the ink's usage alltogether...some of you might have some crazy stories of "like that one time, i got like 50 directink kills" but when i think about how many kills ive gotten from the INk itself...its not nearly enough times to ever consistently rely on...you remove the stun, or even limit it to a smaller range...the ink becomes useless.

    i HAVE wondered about perhaps modifying the stun, to a more smoke grenade reaction, where you cant shoot but you can at least move...i think that might solve some problems, making it a little more challenging than just running up and shooting an stationary target.

    Its not useless, just because you can't EASILY get kills with it doesn't make it garbage. I got plenty of kills with ink in Gears of War 2 and killed by it too as well stopping the enemy team from taking the weapon or killing a guy trying to pick it up. The game is already severely easy as hell with the amount of cheap **** and noob effectiveness.

    you completely misread my statement...

    i was pretty explicit:

    right now i love using inks, awesome for control, stopping rushers, etc...i was just saying if you were to remove those things it WOULD become useless.

    I get killed by the ink about the same amount of times I use it against other people and it doesn't annoy me. Its a weapon like smoke tagging (instant down leading to death mostly lulz) and grenade tagging (instant death), getting hit by flames (instant death). I just think it makes the grenades a more viable weapon and I find myself picking them up alot more than in gears 2. Keep the stun I say!

    Why is the radius on frags at the point were as thought all you have to do is throw them near the enemy......not even close......and why when I stun myself by mistake the enemy is out of stun much earlier than me??

    Ink grenade stun should just be fixed. There is no consistency to most everything in this game. Makes me sick to spend $60 plus $30 or w/e it was for the season pass, only to discover the same problems this game had since first release of Gears 2. I hope the dev team was fired for their failed attempt to create a balances shooter.

    If it's a DIRECT hit I say the person should be stun. The radius of the ink is pretty small but even if you were 5 feet away from the ink cloud; you would get stunned.

    I agree but also disagree. I think the game is the most consistent out of the series, but I just dislike how things work period. The ink stuns is the most frustrating game feature in the gears series for me. It's like the ragdoll all over again. Why should there be something for me to get a FREE kill. It just takes away from the skill that it takes to play the game...just my opinion and I feel like a lot share it.

    Remove the stun and this game would inch it's way....maybe...back into my disc tray.

    Making it like the smoke stun would be ideal. Then increasing the radius of the ink itself will make this grenade perfect. Actual area denial rather than a green and black incendiary grenade.

    Personally I like the Ink Grenades from Gears 2 better..they seemed alot stronger. The ones in this game are bizzare and random. Parts of the ink cloud don't hurt you, other parts do, whereas in Gears 2 it was just a cloud of death. No matter where you were in the ink it hurt you. But thats just my opinion. As for the stun, since the Ink Grenades seem random atleast when I have one chucked at me, the stun isn't that much of a problem, unless someone follows it up with a Shotgun to the face, which kinda sucks. lol

    I say keep it. I have a love/hate relationship with this and every other weapon in Gears 3. I love them when I get kills with them, but I hate them when I get killed by them. The stun is the only thing helping you get a kill when using the ink grenade. Without the stun, you've defeated the purpose of the ink grenade because people could just tuck and roll out of it like they could in Gears 2. While we're at it, why don't we just nerf the frags and make them useless as well? Why stop there? Let's nerf the boomshot and sniper rifle like they did in Gears 2! Then let's make a Gears 3 exclusive nerf and throw in the digger as well because God knows it's frustrating to die by one of those, too! Then we'll throw in the mortar launcher and turn the one-shot into a two-shot... See where I'm going with this? Enough weapons have been nerfed already.

    The Ink does seem overpowered and is by far the easiest to use of all the grenades. The only weakness is that you get only one per pick-up.

    I suggest one of the following - these suggestions should in my opinion include an increase to 2 per pick-up:

    1) Remove the stun but increase the damage slightly (otherwise it would be near impossible to kill people with it).
    2) Keep stun but reduce the damage
    3) Keep stun but reduce the area of effect
    4) Change the stun so that the victim can move at walking speed, but can't perform other actions temporarily (such as roll, shoot, change weapons etc - imilar to the Smoke, although with the Smoke you can roll)
    5) Remove the explode on impact - allow them to bounce like the Frags so players have a second to roll away (like GOW2)

    Why doesnt Epic just remove the stun for a week and see what people say about it? Also, I was playing today and I ran through an Ink grenade and I got downed when I was 5 steppes away from the damage radius. That needs to be fixed too.

    If they removed it then the inks would be usless. When an incendiary goes off it can kill you instantly and so can a frag. So it makes sense that an ink can as well.

    It's a hard game that requires slot of skill 2 b good at, but to me diving away from ink grenades is just part of the experience now lol I wouldn't alter n e of the weapons because as the game is now is how I'm used to playing it, retro and sawed off included

    The stun should stay but make the Ink bounce like smokes and frags. IMO it should only explode on impact when you hit someone. It would make it less abusable.

    After just playing some Gears 2 campaign with NFI....
    I think the Ink should go back to that. Massive blocking of view due to darkening the screen and slowing down the character. I do feel if you are hit DIRECTLY (as in a very small radius) you should get stunned though. So if I drop it and it goes off a foot infront of you - stunned. Any further - just damage and slowing down. The damage per second needs a increase too as in Gears 2 it was pretty weak.
