Community Ideas ThreadI thought of this idea a while ago...but thought now would be a good time to make it...as the GoW:J forum is now up
Objective:
This thread can be used to list ideas that we the community have for GoW:J that we think may have not been thought of
-ex: Have you considered trying the 'Class System' in Horde?

--if you have a problem with something, suggest and idea of what you want to see.
Guidlines:
-If you have a detailed description of a gametype/medal (or a really long idea) I'll link it in the OP
I'm not sure how well this thread will be accepted...so lets see

Changes
VS:
• Allow for more options in Private Matches by allowing us to scroll through option (because there isn't enough room on-screen)
• Make characters more talkative online.
• Allow of custom map cycling in Private Matches (GoW1 style)
• Make spawn protection turn off after a bullet is fired
• Make spawn protection different durrations on different maps (ex: Raven Down should be much less than Academy)
• Reduce rifle damage (but have a headshot multiplier for all rifles)
• Reduce Gnasher damage (and reduce active boost)
• Reduce Bullet Magnetism
• Remove the increased accuracy of weapons when aiming...blind-fire should be just as accurate
• Remove most of the stunning
• Make shoot out of run/roll return
• Add the ability to talk between rounds (GoW 1 style)
• Some want to remove Quick Match?
• Allow parties of large than 5 in Ranked Mathces?
• Keep a list of 'score-cards' (post game stats) and make them more in-depth
Horde/Beast:
• Allow for more option in these modes (enemy type, weapon spawns, ect)
• Large list of horde changes here
• Allow enemies to take over/use our fortifications in Horde - link here
• Change the Command centers to be user operated - like the HOD in RAAM's Shadow (sniper = select targets) (mortar = select area) (HOD = RAAM's Shadow style)
• Add a day/night cycle
• Add seeders as Horde Bosses
• Have a new system for including bosses (see description - HERE)
• Make all rifles and shotguns more equally balanced for Horde (adjust settings for Horde only)
• Allow active reloading ability to turrets
• Make enemies come in by jumping off Reevers or coming from E-Holes (instead of inst-appearing)
Campaign:
• Arcade should reset weapons after each chapter
• There should be a 'cut-scene' viewer to re-watch cut-scenes
• Allow for environmental kills (like Bulletstorm, but less exaggerated)
--also more environmental effects (like flood, trenches, ect.)
• Bring back the 'horror' of GoW1 (with the soundtrack and grim/darkness)
• Bring back moving cover (like the Cars in GoW1) - possibly also use this in MP
• No 'Rail' scenes. (like submarine) if we need to go somewhere, either cut-scene it, or let us drive (GoW1 or GoW2 style)
• Have some people from the extended GoW universe make cameos (or at least be mentioned.
• The CoG is much better off than in GoW1, we would like to see some of their technology (that was destroyed and not in GoW1-3)
• Have more 'giant monsters' (like Brumaks)...Many infantry sized things are added, but we aren't seeing any large mosters
Mechanics:
• Consistent Hit Boxes
• Remove/Alter the Mantle Kick
• Allow an active Longshot shot to go through multiple people (or maybe just multiple heads)
• Active Longshot shot should make people 'stumble' (same animation as if hit by a melee)
• Active Longshot can have a spotter ability...hitting an enemy will spot them (that last longer than a regular spot)
• Remove the bloom on the Longshot while aiming (keep it for blind/hipfire, but remove it when aiming)
• Allow people to spot locations (to call for help) - Link Here
• Increase the Digger damage or speed (or maybe just increase active damage/speed)
• Allow the ability to switch shoulder (left/right)
• Remove the camera shake from smoke grenades
Aesthetics:
• Bring back Tac-Com bubbles (or some method of knowing who has which weapon)

• Allow DLC Skins to carry over from GoW3 to GoW:J
• Remove/lessen the 'glow' of the lights on the armor
• Allow for ribbons/medals/ other extras to not pop up while playing (but keep the HUD)
• Return to a more classic soundtrack (GoW1 or GoW2 style)
• Allow ribbons/medals to be earned in solo Horde/Beast (like founder, double, triple, ect)
Additions:
War Journal Ideas:
• A ribbon and Medal for Chainsaw duels should be added
• A medal for XXX chainsaw kills should be added
• A headshot with a boomshot ribbon (Boom Headshot!)
• List of some other ribbons - HERE
• Reduce the time required for many medals, and make them only available in online matches
--and only have medals for natural accomplishments (first blood, winning, ect)
• Medal for having all 3 seriously medals (Trinity of Worms)
• Make Medals for all weapons, but have multiple requirements to be met for each medal (example HERE)
• Add a stat for Accuracy
• Seriously 4.0 Medal should say: "...And don't call me Shirley."
• Ribbon for killing someone with a headshot while they are sliding to cover
• Ribbon for kill on someone who is switching weapons
• Post game stats should show assists and how many times you killed each person

• Grab Bag - playlist with all event gametypes...the game randomly selects which one, and they cycle
• 'Quick Horde' mode - were you only play 20 or 30 waves (50 is too much for some people)
• MLG (MLG settings - or whatever Epic decides they want MLG settings to be)
• Social Horde - allow join in progress
• Nightmare - Hardore gametype designed to instill fear

Mutator Ideas:
• The infinite ammo mutator should allow infinite ammo for all weapons
• "Betrayal" (Fun) - Play as any Locust multiplayer character in Horde
• "Boss" (Hard) - Every wave will have a boss in it, the waves are otherwise unchanged
• "Execution Rules" (Hard ) Enemies that can be downed (Drones, Grenadiers, Therons, ect.) will have to be either executed or one shot killed
New Executions:
• Meatshild (replace neck snap) - take pistol from victim, put it in their mouth, and pull the trigger
• Idea to allow more executions HERE
• When doing an 'arm-rip/face-punch' if someone else comes up, they should be able to rip off another limb and join
Mechanics:
• D-Pad usage ideas Here
• Idea for improving weapon pick-up when weapons are piled - here
• Add/Modify the Hammer Burst to be a burst fire weapon (even if different than GoW1)
• Add an option to have 'Ricochet' team fire (where shooting teammates will damage you)
• A Clutch-Box 'Nade (link here)
• Add the ability to save teammates who are being executed.
• Add 'Elite' weapons (sort of like the Theron Elite DBS in RAAM's Shadow) - a few idea here
• Make the BoomShield a more popular weapon (some ideas in HERE)
• Add a Shotgun Pistol (weaker than regular shotguns)
• Shooting should go through Gore (instead of getting blocked as it currently does)
• Have more interactive maps
• Include some medium height walls in MP (that allow you to be hidden while running, but visible when standing
Aesthetics:
• Have more exclusives that don't require purchases. (playing other games, not pre-orders)
• Option to turn off auto-reload
• Option to no auto-switch weapons when dropping a meatshield
• Add character specific unlocks (or leveling)
• Add a visual 'True-Skill' ranking system to Ranked Matches
• Add visual 'Filters' (to change the color tones) (ex: dark, gloomy, high contrast, ect.)
• Have an in-game poll available for people to vote on things (events/changes)

• The ability to choose a host in private matches (ex: I'm host, but I want to transfer the lobby to _____)
