Why don't my open searching spots turn into bots when no players show???

Hi If Anyone Can Help Me With This I'd Really Appreciate It

You see I have a question about the multiplayer on Gears 2. You see when I play online with my friends. When it's starts searching and no other players show up all the open spots turn into just bots. But when I play alone and I start searching at, well lets take every match there is as an example. The open spots they never turn into bots when no other players don't show up like it does with others it just keeps on searching???? What is going on here is it something wrong with the game or am I just senile??? You see I am trying to get the the Veteran Gear achievement. But its taking me far to long. If it could just turn into bots I would achieve much more points on less time. And Get to Level 100 I am 73 at the moment. This is crazy I just want to complete my Gold camo set for Gears 3. And I enjoy that game much more I am getting sick and tired of playing Gears 2 over and over again. Its bad for my health really. I don't get time to get fresh air and get free d vitamins from the sun when i'm out since I want this so darn much. And it sucks really hard to have all the Gold weapons except for the best weapon and the one I use the most in the game which is the Gnasher. I wondered If there is something needed to be fixed. It's basically unfair that others get to play against easy bot opponents. When I almost have to play against hardcore pros who basically rape me all the time. If this doesn't sound unfair to you Epic then you are truly cracked in your heads. And please give me an answer as quickly as possible.

I rarely get just bots. What I found is that if by myself it will generally find a match with other players. If there are several of us playing we most of the time get just bits. This is because it may not be able to add our group to an existing match so it creates a new one.
