    Default 1st Unreal Engine 4 Game 2013

    Saw this article today. Looks like the first unreal engine 4 game is planned to ship in 2013. Don't want to get too greedy, but a ut4 demo for Christmas would be an epic present (pun intended). \o/

    Welcome aboard!

    I predict that this might be the PC game Epic was talking about figuring the engine won't run on consoles yet (as they said - or maybe it was just a bluff to force the console devs to ship their stuff with better hardware?) and that the next generation of consoles seems still a bit far away.

    OH... I thought that was a tech demo. Not very impressive but the lava was nice.

Either way, looks like it wont be UT4 after all, shame.... When mark mentioned about he'll announce publicly when the partner is ready too, im guessing it'll be the first out-sourced licenced game for UE4, not in-house UT4 like i thought it would be....

    No GOW came out about a year before UT3, if you count Gears on 360. The PC version of GOW even came out before UT3. The tech demo for UT2007 was out for a year or two before the game came out, so that's probally why you thought UT3 came first. Bl!tz was right, Roboblitz was the first game released on UE3.

    my hope is, it is comming an Unreal1 -like- Singleplayer + a Multiplayerbrowser with monsterhunt,
    1:1 , and the other Gameplay types and the maps be like Crysis very big to running around and have
    missions as Singleplayer and not only butching like a brainless Warkiller, no like in Unreal1 and 2 and
    epic games remembers the good old Singleplayer, but with this cool U4 engine
    But please, dont vorget the Multiplayer-Browser like in U2 who had make extra a multiplayer who
    has failed completely as game patch..

    Please Epic, take a Look on UT99 and this Monsterhunt, but why not an Unreal 4 with Multiplayer as
    Tournament and a real good Monsterhunt mod for creation wonderful Adventures who where we are can play through...
    Who can be possibility to create other Maps with other Adventures to have every a possibility to play
    Unreal from an totaly other side... Wit other Peoples goes Hunting in Groups agains the monsters be a
    Monsterhunt Gametype who support the Community to save the other in the Team and play agains
    the "Aliens", Monsters or something... in Ut99 it is giving now more as 1000 good running Mapsand there with partily very good missions as Monsterhunt ... Ut99 Maps give it more as 3-4000 Map's ? DM, CTF and others inclusive more as 1000 MH Maps who now created by Users and Mappers...

    Modern Monsters, Beasts and crawling animals... in an Unreal World of Dragons, Warlords, Stonetitans, Monsterqueens, Gasbags, Fishes and so on but all new designed Creatures in real and better 3D .. but Suncralls and Cybergralls and Skaarj 1.5 can maby use from UT3Skins and convert it to the U4 engine maby add 3-6 Caracters arts of Skaajr. The Spiders was cool from U2 and some creatures
    from U2 ... the U2 Creatures was a realy good work.. Please dont forget the Singleplayer Adventures
    and let fuse it with the Multiplayer with an Playtypebrowser like Unreal1 and UT99 ... to have the Possibility for fighting together side on side against the bad Monsters and Beasts and some Creatures... like in the Old times ... the AI today for an Monsterhunt it is more as good, i think, to have diffrent Animals, Beasts, Monsters and so on to let run and spawn around for hunting and fighting ..... diffrent automatismen for interacting with the World of Unreal to have a possibility for ever new Maps and Adventures creating with the UnrealGame like a Jurrasicpark or a medieval village/s 2-3 or 4 in one Map
    or an Village and a Mounten with an catle on it ... or an Castle with Vampires but they are it only suggestions/ideas for future Mapcreators... who i whant show you to get the possibilitys for the Mappers and some other Peoples on hand.. a good Monsterhuntmod can use for mutch other possibilitys, with diffrent human-AI and Animal-AI's ... and diffrent spawn and automatissmen mechanismus in an good monsterhunt Mod.     Will the new engine also release a new UT? Always been a big fan of Unreal Tournament and I wish it had more online support (map packs, weapon packs and whatnot). I'm a 360 gamer so I don't get to see a lot of the weapons PC users get through mods and whatnot. Wouldn't mind seeing some of the best of them available to download on the 360 for a marginal price. -shrug-

    I was discussing that with a famous player yesterday, we could not imagine or found the logic behind how Epic could set 1 fkn million dollar prize money for a modder contest( could everyone name him? or what he did precisely, did it helped ut3 in any means?) and all the incomes from license sells and not do some Quakecon like tournament...

    Imagine, let's only consider that 1M$ prize ONLY, let's say 2 major events a year (winter-summer); some simple math bring u an "incredible truth": with what Epic gave to 1 fkn guy; you could have planned a 5 years major lan that would kept game alive and self promoting it, ofc keeping somehow the hype around it. With 100 000$ prize money in CASH for EACH lan.

    Let's be crazy and imagine Epic decided to allow 500 000$ (from those 1 M$) for promoting/ keep 3-5 guys to fix game bugs/develop content. I mean, i am being realistic, i didn't say anything insanely unexpectable.

    Where would we be now? Certainly not in the state where we are now =) .

    Let's analyze quickly a similar case. What is the last futuristic fps around? Quake live. Are gfx super awesome: NO (hello super-bloom-of-death-noonecares in ue4) game is running on an improved 1998 engine . Despite the realistic shooter era Quake still has major LAN, and pro playerz (yes it's getting worst and worst tho).

    I know that with some "if" you could re invent the world, and i don't try to bash for free, just so much possible awesomeness years WASTED, so much wasted that's it's even sad :/ ....

    Well, it has been at least five years since we've had our shot at new technology from Epic. So I think this game will certainly be welcomed with big time opened arms for sure. We just need to see what really makes UE4 technology different. Even tho UE3 did give us a lot of eye candy, and a lot of fun stuff to play with, it is getting pretty old now, even tho it doesn't FEEL like it's getting old. We'll see what turns through the upcoming year takes it. Should be interesting.

    Question unreal engine 4 pc requirements?

    Well Folks, does anyone know what are the "PC" requirements to run UE4 games???...

    I am already saveing some money to buy a new PC next year, and I belive that PC specks are going to skyrocket because of the new games comeing out with the UE4...

    ...In the next 2 years all current hardware will most likely be obsolete!!!...

    dunno what kind of cpu will do the job but "Epic" said that only kepler gpus will be abble to handle it...

    If its not ut2013 or ut-like then .....im not intrested. Unless its the second game :P. I want a decent arena shooter tbh. I'd prefer it to be UT.

    I'm with you on that bro. I need dodging. It really blows it for me in other games because I really dig that movement. All other games feel stagnant when moving around without it. 12 years of this and you get a little used to it lol. I would love a UT4 but I would definitely try another game from Epic with an open minded view if it just had dodging for another shooter. I don't even care about double jumping. I never use it but I know a lot of users do.

    With the new Unreal Engine must come another Unreal game. Even if it was a remake of the original Unreal games, but polished and with a couple things added in, I'd be happy.
