Hey all. Been a while since I've posted here on the forums. Been busy. We're still working on Flesh Asunder, our 3rd person action RPG. For more information/screens...

If you don't want to click the links, Flesh Asunder is basically Diablo (item variation and certain mechanics) meets Hellgate: London (3rd person view and modern setting). We are also currently discussing the possibility of having randomly assembled weapons, not unlike Borderlands. However, the system we are planning will be more refined and won't be implemented until we are much further along. I myself am a 20 year gaming veteran with a Bachelor's in Game and Simulation Programming, though my strength truly lies with the design of gameplay mechanics. We're taking good ideas that have worked in other games, and are altering them for our purposes. For instance, the player will not consume potions that eventually run out. Instead, they will have access to flasks that are similar to the ones found in Path of Exile. They will refill as the player kills monsters, and the player will be capable of finding multiple rarities of flasks, all with different affixes, just like any other item.
We've been working on Flesh Asunder for over a year and a half, and currently have a team of about 10 part time volunteers. So its not like I came up with this idea yesterday and have nothing to show for it. We have a TON of back end coding completed, along with several gameplay mechanics in and working, including the random drop system, monster spawn points that put the monsters in random locations, a currency system, the ability to level up, gain stat points (and spend them), and more.
We're working hard to get a demo together, and are making progress. What we need now, is someone that has a fair amount of time on their hands that we bounce around between multiple areas, which include:
Prop Creation
Monster/Character Creation
Weapon and Armor Creation
Our random loot drop system is already in place, we just need the loot to feed into it! We have a plan for our first environment, which will be the beginning of the game. We just need some help bringing it to life.
Any sound engineer looking to apply, would obviously be making sounds. We have no need of a composer at this time, as that position is full.
Ultimately, our goal is to put a solid demo together, attempt to secure funding of some kind, and use said funding to continue development until we can ship the first act of the game. Shipping the first act, will, in turn, hopefully allow us to keep going and provide us with the means to finish the game and give the first act more love. This approach to the development will ensure that we don't have an obnoxiously long development cycle, and don't overwhelm ourselves, as this project is a huge undertaking.
Anyone interested can PM me or respond to this thread. This game is basically my brain child, and something I've been wanting to create all my life. I hope some of you will want to become part of the experience.
-Tony
