Gears Of War Windows Gold Lancer Request/Help?

Hi there guys n girls, i'm a big fan of gold guns in the gears of war series, so i thought why not mod gears pc so i can have a gold lancer or gold gnasher? tried googling around but could not find anything, someone who seems to know alot gears and tech has confirmed that its possible on twitter, said it was simple, but i just can't find any help online, and to be honest i don't really know what i'm looking for (derp). i'm pc savvy enough though, so its simple enough i should be able to do it i also have the editor that came with game installed if that helps...


my pc specs are:


Intel core i5 2500k 3.30ghz
GTX 580 1.5gb
4gb ddr3 ram 1600mhz


i think my beast should be able to run a modding program ect, if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated if its gonna be a ball-ache then just say and i will forget it lol thanks!

if you can run gears PC then i expect you will be able to run a modding program for it, you will possible have to add files to your game for this to work as well as editing but im not 100% so definetly ask someone who is proficient with this kind of thing

Since Gears of War's unrealscript is unavailable to us, this isn't possible.

First off, anything to do with multiplayer, both sides have to have, that means you and whoever you're playing with. If you just simply want to change the lancer material to gold then you could re-create the package that is used for the lancer material and change the lancer material to whatever you want, but that's a long ass workaround, and only you would see the gold... on your screen everyone would have gold weapons, on everyone elses, it'd be the normal version.
