Hello
I'm new to using the udk and finding it so far to be an enjoyable program to learn. I have followed many tutorials and have now got to a point in creating a training map where I want to make and import a basic model like a barrel and a wooden pallet so I downloaded blender 2.63.
This however has been a nightmare with no apparent end. I have spent hours now trying to learn from outdated tutorials some of which have been very useful only after deeper searching online and through the program for updated functions and such. This had lead me to a few questions which I hope someone will be able to help.
1. I tried to follow a tutorial which would allow me to make a model in blender to the correct unit size for the udk, this tut said to goto view, properties and set both the Spacing and Divisions to 16 however in 2.63 version things have changed, the menu no longer showes these options but insted showes lines, scale and subdivisions, so my question is how do I now change the blender grid units to match the udk?
2. Theres alot of confusing and conflicting info around between using blender 2.63 with udk in terms of export tools and such. At the moment both my blender and udk are as they came out of the tin so can someone please help me with what other addons and tools I need to make learning better
3. When your making any kind of model eg a car am I correct in presuming that for the model to look right ingame you use 1uu per 2.5cm, so if a car in real life is say 5 feet wide then in unreal units it would be 80 units wide?
thanks for any help![]()
