The video is actually doing more harm than good on your post, that video completly destroy the last words on your signature "come join a professional team"......re-capture the video (not camcorder) and do some video edit for your own sake.

@jugufre With all due respect, I think it would be an incredible waste of time to create a polished video that's only to share with UDK individuals. It's not to market the game, and ultimately just to share what's being worked on. I think it should be more focused one what's going on in the game and not how great of a video editor one may be. Thank you for your input, and I appreciate your opinion, but I would encourage you to look past the fact that the video is not in what you would consider the "ideal" format. (as you would have noted from the video, running UDK puts a pretty hefty strain on my hardware, so running something like FRAPS along with the game) From there look at what is being done. Regards,

    Nick

It would have been nice if you could have captured in FRAPS so we could see some of the detail in the game, but I understand what your saying about spending time making a vid. If you are worried about performance I managed to get FRAPS recording the console window in UDK with no issues: http://youtu.be/BuQg7R4nxtQ (for reference) in case you decide to do more vids

mind to elaborate? and what are your system specs... I'm running on core i5, 4 gb ram and a radeon mobilidy hd 6300... so its not the greatest card... It runs about 20 fps in udk while game is running.

yeah that probably would have helped lol I am running an i7 with 8gb RAM and a Radeon HD5800, but if you are getting 20fps while just running the game then running FRAPS as well is just gonna end badly!

yeah.. i was on mac for a while and just got back on the pc side and went with what was supposed to be a good gaming laptop... but the dedicated video card isn't the best... will be upgrading soon, but just making due with what i've got at the moment since I sun 1900 into it for it to be a bad laptop...

It looks to me like you have something and have some possibility of completing your project, so I wish you luck man. I would strongly recommend building your own high-end pc so you can record with fraps or some other screen recording device.

Couldn't watch. Video taken on camera? Ever heard of FRAPS?

EDIT: Holy Satan's diarrhea, you paid almost $2000 for that awful of a laptop. You must have just bought something somewhere instead of selecting the components yourself. I managed to get an I7 with 8gb of ram, with a good graphics card for just over a 1000. I can run UT3 with physx and max settings without turning the extra graphics card on because the built in one was already pretty good. You need to learn how to shop smarter. Then maybe you would be able to run UDK and FRAPS. Your brain must have dissolved while you were using Macs and made you get a radeon card instead of nvidia.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. LMAO LIKE ON THE BUTTON! I WAS SO MAD AHHAHA. I'm saving up for the new nvidia card i saw in the ue4 tech demo. I bought the laptop at frys and have been sorely disappointed in it.

But back on topic. IF people can try to stomach past the video, and just look at what we are trying to do that would be great. we've been persistent in creating this. work hard on programming, and are trying to make something that's nto a COD/halo clone.

We would love any help we could get....

thanks a ton for the reply and insight @ironbelly. I'm glad we were able to discuss how to better organize the team and project so that from here on out we are getting better results with my team's efforts.
