I recently started to play gears of war 3. I love it, but I'm still trying to get the all the movement down such as wallbouncing, etc. Anyways, I like how in the beginning or my first 10 levels I was playing with people who were at par with my novice skills. It may sound selfish but I would like it if they made all the matches that way even past level 10 and so on. It would ease a lot of players into the game. I can't tell you how many times my team of "novices" including myself get demolished by the veterans. The teams should be evened out somehow, not just by level because level doesn't always determine the skills of a player, but I'm sure there's some way. It would keep me more motivated to keep playing the game and instead of just raging at the sheer pwnage of the veterans. I can see if other people don't care, but being a noob it's hard for me to enjoy the game when I get gnashed every corner I turn. I can understand you only get better by playing someone who is better, but it would ease people in the game like I said before. This is just from my perspective of course people don't suck at the game like I might. Please fill me in if this is another ignorant thread or there might be something done about this or in process. Thank you, please refrain from scolding me if I said anything stupid or if this is in the wrong section.

Something like this should be in the multiplayer section but I definitely support this idea. The matches would become more fair and the community can stop slowly disappearing with the newbies being able to play good matches too so they don't rage quit the entire game. 100% support

level doesn't always determine the skills of a player, but I'm sure there's some way.

Most games balance teams based on k/d ratio, but in terms of gears, I think they should try balancing by each players starting weapons stats such as rate of fire, accuracy, and number of kills with each weapon.

That is true but they implemented those weapons so they can counter the 3 starting weapons

You could say it actually takes skill to effectively use sawed-off against skilled players. The range on sawed-off sucks, but if you're skilled, you can decimate an entire team.
